My milk supply crashed when i went back to work, i have been fighting it tooth and nail with Reglan and all kinds of different pumps, but nothing is working....im even drinking that Mother's Milk Tea, but nothings helping and im totally crushed....

i cant express ANY milk using a pump anymore, nothing comes out at all not even drips, i have tried all the different sized flanges and i have had to start hand expressing, when i hand express every two hours i only get 1/2 an oz at a time, when i get home from work i nurse for hours! he never gets enuff to eat obviously because im not producing. im on Reglan 3X/day but its not helping apparently. my baby is only 4 months old.

are you getting any milk at all? how old is you baby? my milk supply dropped off when i went back to work, intially i'd express 12 oz during the day but within a few weeks it was 7, by the time it got to 3 i packed in expressing - my daughter was eating foods well and didn't need to bf as much and thats a normal progression, she still feeds at bedtime and sometimes in the morning. if its a case of food replacing bf then its a natural development if you're replacing with formula then look at other ways of improving expressing. try using a photo or a toy/blanket with your baby's smell on to help. i tried pumps but ended up finding hand expressing easier, quicker and more effective (took bit of time to get the knack). It could be work stress affecting your supply or any number of things and may be you have to except you are not supermum. you are regans mum and you have fed her the best milk in the world but now you are providing her the best life and future you can by returning to work - unfortunately that will always mean compromises - the curse of the working mum. stop beating yourself up for doing the best you can.
