My 15 month old still needs a milk bottle to fall asleep and I am worried about his teeth. He only takes milk and does not like to drink out of a sippy cup in bed. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Transition to a water bottle...fast! His teeth will suffer if you let him go to bed with milk.

One of my sons was very attached to his milk at night also. What I did was feed him his last bottle a little earlier than bedtime and he would settle down and relax but not fall asleep with it. Then I would clean his teeth and put him to bed. If he still wont fall asleep offer him a bottle of water afterwards. He may cry in protest but it will only take a few days of nighttime crying and fussiness before he gets the idea. I have seen what bottle rot does to a babies teeth and it is awful. Better to deal with the crankiness than to fix his teeth! Good luck to you!
