My baby won't stop rolling onto his tummy while he is sleeping. How do I make him stop.

Its totally fine. mine did this and does it to this day. The difference is when a parent intentionally puts a baby on its belly, the baby might not be ready for it, leading for more increase of sids. Whent he baby does it, it is fine, the baby is ready and is able to sleep like that comfortably. It is safe. Dont worry!

My nurse and doctor both said that once a baby can roll on their own - they are fine. Basically he will roll back onto his back if he gets bothered.

Just keep checking on him. My twins had holes in their hearts n they did fine until their surgery when they were 3. If your really super uncomfortable then try your best to keep him on his back. :) good luck!

I thank u all for ur comments. I'm overly paranoid with him sleeping on his tummy with his heart condition.

My baby has slept on his tummy since a month old. All my kids did, I have 4 ranges 16-4 months. They all did fine. If your baby prefers to be on their tummy, let them! They should be fine. :)

Don't put anything soft in his bed. He can't smother if his face isn't covered. The wedges and pillows that are supposed to keep a baby on its back don't always work and are a smothering hazard themselves.

I think my doctor told me the same thing Amy D. said, that if a baby can roll over by himself, then he's fine to roll over in his sleep. But I would check with your pediatrician, too.

There are also little props you csn buy yo keep them in one spot. They are like wedges with a cloth in the middle and it is one piece to keep them in on spot. I used it for my daughter after she was born.

I would try to get him back on his back before you go to bed for the night but he should be ok if he ends up flipping back over.

Just make sure that there is no loose bedding that can get in his face, how old is he?

He can roll onto his tummy but not able to roll back onto his back. Is it still safe?

Once he can role over on his own it's safe for him to sleep that way. You can try putting him back on his back but it's unlikely he'll stay that way.
