It seems as if she's not getting enough from bottle fed as I am a working mom, and I only breastfeed her afternoon after work.

I started at 4 months, my son loved it. My sons doctor said 4 months is a good age to start. Rice cereal. Enjoy!

Signs that your baby is ready to move onto solids are constantly chewing wrists, or short periods between feeds. it is recommended that you wait until 6 months but all three of my children were on solids at 12 weeks because they were all 10lb babies and milk just was not filling them up. I started with baby rice as recommended by my gp. If you give a teaspoon of made up rice this is more than enough as you really need your child to continue taking the milk as well. Always give the milk first because at this age this is the most important part of there diet. My youngest child was put onto solids at 10 weeks because she was having a terrible time on the milk it was making her ill. Just be sensible as to much solids will give them a belly ache.
