My daughter is 5 months old the only time I sterilized them is when they first came out of the packaging, otherwise they get washed with hot water and soap after each use.

I was told only for the first couple of months you need to sterilize them...My daughter is 6 months old and I no longer do that..I just wash them with soap and water after every use or I put them in the dishwasher.

Joanie, honestly, the dishwasher is so hot, if you wash your bottles in there, they are pretty sterile. I think they sell bottle holders at Target that you can purchase to separate it from the other dishes. It's a single mother cheat...

I stopped sterilizing manually after the first time. My dishwasher has a sterilizing cycle that I use on all my dishes, so I call it good enough. Knock on wood, my kids are NEVER sick either, and for that I am very thankful! :) Could be the really good vitamins I give them, but keeping our dishes clean helps out as well, I am sure! :)
