Always check out the medical first but if all clear, eye twitches can also be a form of tic brought on by anxiety/stress. If the medical aspect clears, try keeping a journal of times when this occurs and under what circumstances to see if you can pinpoint any particular stresses or worries to start working on.

I agree with the other ladies. It sounds like some sort of deficiency or eye strain - from video games, computer, TV

I don't know about children but my husband had this same issue a few years ago. On and off he had these involuntary eye twitches. After blood tests came back, it turns out he was potassium deficient and was asked by the doctor to cut down on sugar intake and to eat more bananas. That seemed to have worked and he no longer gets these twitches.

Hello Dena,
This is my 2 cents experience: eye twitches can reflect a mineral deficiency, magnesium in particular. For me magnesium supplement solved the problem.
In your son's case depending on what triggers it could also be eye fatigue. Does he have glasses? Has he been checked for this eye sight lately?
Hope this helps
Anne
