I recently got a new job working 11pm to 7am. . and I still feel like I never get to see my son. Is working to support my family always going to be above see them?

It depends on what job you do. \You could start a home based business part -time, and gradually build it up, so eventually you can do it ful time. Many home based businesses have an internet component to the, so you can make money online. In addition, while you are building up your home based business you can enjoy some of the tax advantages of having a home based business.

Working to support your family is always a struggle throughout life. I raised my two kids alone and worked all the time. One year I had 3 jobs to support them and I never got to see them except maybe one day on the weekend. It is a hard balance between work and family. Just know you are setting an awesome example on what it takes to survive and live with a family along with showing them responsibilities and priorities. I don't know how old your son is or your situation (single, married, etc...) but in time things will smooth out so you can enjoy your family more. Hang in there. And woo hoo for you on doing what you have to....keep up the dedication!! :)

It is always hard when you have to work full time to support your family... I don't have all the answer you may be looking for but hopefully you can find a fine balance between work and your family... I understand being a mom of 2 with 1 on the way and have to work full time too... I feel like there is never enough time for a lot of things in life which is sad but true... At least you are showing your children a good example of working to support your family...

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AND I WORK 8AM-5PM FOUR DAYS A WEEK AND 12PM-9 PM ONE DAY A WEEK. WHEN I GET OFF AT 5, I USUALLY DON'T GET HOME TIL ALMOST 6 THEN I HAVE TO COOK DINNER, WASH DISHES AND CLEAN UP, GIVE MY DAUGHTER A BATH AND THEN IT IS PRETTY MUCH HER BED TIME. SO I DON'T GET TO SPEND MUCH TIME WITH HER EITHER. I DON'T THINK THERE REALLY IS ANY GREAT SOLUTION TO OUR PROBLEM. I GET ALOT OF VACATION DAYS AND SICK DAYS AT MY JOB THOUGH SO I TRY TO TAKE A DAY EVERY SO OFTEN JUST TO GO OUT AND DO SOMETHING FUN WITH MY DAUGHTER.

It really feel like that alot no matter what shift you work. I currently work 9-5 and 3 out of 5 days they are in preschool and I still feel like that. You get home you have so much to do around the house, dailing living with taking care of your little ones and yourself it feels like you never get to really enjoy them. This is something I fight with also. Hopefully we can help one another to get through it.

I wish I had words of wisdom for you but I don't. All I wanted to say is that I feel for you and I'm working through the same issues here. You're not alone and I truly hope that you are able to find a great balance.
