PCOS means it's often more difficult to have children, but not impossible. I know many women with PCOS who have had children without drugs. You should definitely talk to your doctor about metformin (which will help regulating cycles) or birth control pills (you'll be more fertile for a month or two after going off). There are more options, too.

hayley don't listen to your doctor!! get a second opinion, I have a 5 year old son and I have PCOS, after i had them they said oh well you won't be able to have any more kids..It crushed me well i went and got a second opinon. My new doc says he figures If i stay one my meds i will get pregnant in 4 months! Ok well i haven't been takin my meds lol cause so much has happened in my life, but I am going to get back on them. Are you on Metformin? Clomid? Thats what i am on. The met will help regulate you and possible loose weight if you are one of use over weight PCOSer's lol. I know other women with PCOS that the doc's told them NO MORE KIDS, and one lady has had 3 naturally without using any meds, another had 2 useing birth control, and condoms!!! never give up hope.. have you been to the PCOS message board? they help with alot of stuff the ladies on there are awesome, if you want the website please let me know! Keep your head up girl it will be alright!

Hi Hayley, I also have polysystic ovarian syndrome. I have 3 on my left and 2 on my right biggest one being about the size of a quarter. I just found out in 2005 so im not sure if i had them when i was pregnant. My last child was born in 2001. Doctor said that they appear to have been there for some time tho so maybe i did. I think you should go for it if thats what u want. I mean depending on the severity of your case of course.
