REAL contractions?

my doctor wants to induce me by monday because the baby is getting too big for the canal.. however i woke up pretty early with horrible cramps and semi braxton hicks contractions.. all day long i have braxton hicks contractions along with aching hips and an aching belly. should this be considered real labor contractions or is it just from the discomfort of him growing too large for my body?

Is this your first? The fact that you use the word "horrible" leads me to believe this is the real deal (that and the fact that you are obviously at the end of your pregnancy).

It could be early labor. I would stay in touch with your Doc :) as I'm sure you are. Good luck and best wishes for a safe and healthy delivery!

Just to be sure I would call your doctor. You never know and if you get a feeling at all that they are real contractions then there is no hurt in going to the hospital. Good luck and congrats on your baby :)
