Hi guys! I have an issue and I am not really sure how to handle it. My daughter has been with her child care provider/ babysitter, how ever you prefer to word it, for over a year now. In that time she was very close to her and loved spending time with her and staying with her during the day. She would run into her home and immediately feel at ease. Recently, however, I have noticed that my daughter has started throwing huge tantrums in the mornings when I leave. This morning she ran to the door and grabbed me so I wouldn't leave. This really caught me by surprise.
I have noticed that since my daughter has been getting older and trying to learn to express herself and learn her boundaries, that our care provider has become more and more impatient with her. Instead of her going through "phases" she considers them disciplinary issues and even went as far as to tell my husband that I don't discipline my child - not that its any of her business anyway.
At any rate I feel that there has become a disconnect between my daughter and her baby sitter and we are considering moving her to another place. Should I approach the sitter and explain what is going on and hope that the situation gets better, or should I take her somewhere else? Please help!!!
