My daughter is 10 months old now and i've been working sense she was 2 months old. Until she was 9 months old I worked 15-25 hours a week and was away from her about 8 hours a day. Everything seemed to be going okay until i started my full time job a few weeks back. She has had a major emotional overturn. My new job I am working for 9 hours a day which means closer to ten hours by the time i get to where she is being babysat and home. I have two days off a week and she hates it. If i am awake and ready before she gets up she freaks and is cranky for the babysitter. .. deffinatly has her own personality

I went back to school a week after our son was born and was back to work when our son was 5 months. Both my fiance I have done school and work ever since and our son is 2.5 now. I think he's learned a lot from going to daycare which is great & He hit his milestones on time or early. Walked, slept in a toddler bed, was off bottles by 1 year old. Potty trained before 2. He knows his months, shapes, letters, and talks like crazy. I personally don't think it's affected him negatively at all.

I went back to work when Thomas was 6 months old to work 25 hrs a week, he went to a child minder who had other children in her care and he loved it, he had me eveings and weekends and the mix was good for him. he is now nearly 5 and I now work 37.5 hrs per week on a shift patternand he hates it, his behaviour has changed and in some respects he has gone backwards with regards his toileting, eating and his dad also works 12 hour shifts, so e are not together asa family very often, so does it affect the child if parents work, in my case I thinks so, but he is improving and getting used to the new routine.
