Hi my name is Christina Burke. I have an energetic son Robert, AKA Robbie. I work full time as a trauma PA. I work about 12 extra hours a week to pay the bills. About 8 shifts are over night. So most days I'm exhausted or running around to get things done. My son is not in daycare. My husband and I have worked our schedules so one of us is always home because we just can't afford daycare. I've noticed even though we do lots of play dates n trips to the park ect. He seems not as socialized as most kids his age. He's good once he gets to know the other kid but that usually takes several 1:1 play dates. If anyone has any advise I'd greatly appreciate it.

Hi everyone! My name is Kia. I am a working mom of four children ages 12, 10, 8 and 4. I love learning tips from other working mom's to help me juggle such a busy life. I found Circle of mom's while looking for some tips for my 8 yr old daughter who was diagnosed with ADHD and ODD. Having 4 kids, a husband and a full time job is hectic enough. Then throw a child with ADHD & ODD in the mix and some days I feel as if I just can't handle it all. I'm looking forward to learning and sharing with other moms who may have similar situations. I look forward to talking with you all! :)

Hi,

My name is Nikki! I'm a young single working mom-to-be in a corporate setting. I am fortunate enough to work for a company that values my skill and talent and has allowed me the opportunity to work from home and work in the office after my maternity leave. This will help reduce daycare costs and also keep me close to my new baby during his first few years.

I blog as kind of a therapy to my current state and hopefully help other women going through pregnancy and motherhood along a unique path. I share how-to's, organization tips, fashion advice and even ways to save money.

Hi Jessie,
I completely understand how you feel. Leaving our little ones is not easy. The best advice is really having an open communication with your caregiver. Letting them know that it you are adjusting and will be calling frequently just to check up on her. What I did that comforted me was to get a baby monitor with WiFi that i could pull up from my phone. The brand is called Summertime, they have an app you can download into your phone. So during my lunch break I could log in and at least see her and rest assure that she is doing okay. It also works just as well of you and your caregiver have an iPhone, you could use face time or even have the caregiver take pictures of your baby and send to you.

In addition it's good to have an open communication with your supervisor and let them know that it is not easy for you and you may need to take a couple of breaks a day to check in on your baby.

In time it will get better and trust me once she's like 6 months, you'll be running to go to work...LOL!!

Hope this helps!

Dyna

I dont know how I am going to handle being away from my baby girl. Between going to school full time, being a mommy full time, working full time and helping other mothers in need by putting clothes on thier childerns back I have lost my friends due to the fact that they are living the single life as I am living the married mommy life. I need some mommie friends for sure.

Hi All,

My name is Dyna. I am 26 years old, married and a mommy of two girls. One 4 years and the other 13 months. I work as a Public Health Nurse in the Washington, DC Area and also am a full time student pursuing my Masters degree.

Although many of my friends are doing well with their careers or are in school none have children, which at times is very difficult to relate with them on that aspect.

I look to this community as an avenue to acquire
inspiration, exchange tips, and meet new people through my journey of balancing being a wife, mommy, nurse, and student.

Look forward to connecting!

Hey all!

My name is Alexa, young single mom to one little boy, Baby T (5months). College graduate and working in the professional world of drink & food. Currently on Maternity leave and returning to the kitchen late spring of 2015.

I joined this site to meet & talk with other single mothers. Technically I am still with Baby T's father, but 98% of the time it's me raising, paying and caring for Baby T (we don't live together, and Baby T resides with me 100%). It's actually quite a pathetic situation and I'm still trying to figure it out.

So far raising my son has been the easiest part of this journey!

Hi there,

My name is Crystal and I am a full time working mom to a 2 year old and a 3 1/2 year old. Life is hectic and wild and crazy and stressful almost all the time and the only thing that makes me sane is the snuggles and kisses and hugs my little people give to me. I joined this group to find some support, to find moms who are maybe dealing with the same thing and can lend me support and an ear (or I guess...an eye) to my struggles. I would love some advice. Basically, my son is a difficult child, spirited, tenacious, stubborn beyond stubborn.

Could anyone tell me if there is a specific community within this site that caters to the spirited child? I would appreciate that as I am starting to feel like I might be seriously failing my kid and I just need some guidance. I would love to turn to my own mother but I come from a rather difficult back ground myself so its just me and my laptop right now, seeking help.

Thanks so much for any help.

I was going to beauty school before i got pregnant, but didn't continue with my career after i had my daughter. I guess Ive been in a bit of a slump and haven't really done anything with my career and actually I'm still a bit lost on what it is i want to do.. and I'm not happy with myself because of that. Any who the girls have awesome dad, who is also my biggest supporter. The only downfall is he's always working making it hard for me to leave the girls and go to work full-time because he's always gone. Thats just a little about me and my family issues, I'm sure things will get better with time, but I'm always looking for advise or even some acknowledgement would be great.
