Hi my name is Christina Burke. I have an energetic son Robert, AKA Robbie. I work full time as a trauma PA. I work about 12 extra hours a week to pay the bills. About 8 shifts are over night. So most days I'm exhausted or running around to get things done. My son is not in daycare. My husband and I have worked our schedules so one of us is always home because we just can't afford daycare. I've noticed even though we do lots of play dates n trips to the park ect. He seems not as socialized as most kids his age. He's good once he gets to know the other kid but that usually takes several 1:1 play dates. If anyone has any advise I'd greatly appreciate it.

I'm Jordan. I have an almost 2 year old boy. I worked full time, then went to nursing school full time, but have recently graduated. Now I'm starting another full time position tomorrow. Hopefully I can get advice on transitioning my son from having me home full time for a month to going back to a crazy schedule.

HI I'm Allison, 27, single mom of a 5yr old 8mos old and am 6 months pregnant! I work 50hr weeks as a nurse and have to use gov. assisted childcare but I found a good center that the baby began going to at 6 months, she seems happy there but it hurts my heart to be away from her! I saved up and paid for my Own maternity leave, and can't beleive I'm about to do it again! I'm hoping dad will be in the picture one day but for the last almost 6 years I have survived with NO child support, NO good-will unpaid babysitter except for my dad every now and then for a few hours, bless him.
We wake up at 4:30am I have everything laid out the night before, my 5yr old is such a help and a good boy. They get dropped off with lots of kisses at a daycare that takes him to a better school than the district we live in. I pick them up at 5:30pm after a big commute and try to avoid needing to do any errands during the week, my 5yr old cherishes his 1-2hrs of tv time while I clean cook give him his vitamins and prepare for the next day! Put the baby in the bath at 6:30 after carrying her on my hip during all that for 1000 kisses bonding during our short time, she plays in the bath with me while my boy gets himself in and out of the shower/teeth brushed/pjs on, I put her down with her bottle to sleep about 7:30 and then read part of a chapter book to my son every night ♥ THEN I SLEEP! on the weekends we do laundry and church and if he's in a sport (I often have him in one) go to that. I try to smile and be sweet all the live long day but I'm afraid I'll hang myself with the vacuum cord one day! Haha! I'm kidding because I know these baby years go by fast and are so precious, I'm looking into a weekend night shift position in order to try and have more time with my babies. But I'm not sure if I'll find a sitter for those nights :(

Wish me luck because I'm trying so hard for these kids!! ♥

My name is Rene and I am new here....I have an 8 yr old daughter and today while at work I got the call from school I NEVER thought in a million years I'd get. The thought never even crossed my mind... Hello, this is such and such from Elise's school...her friend brought a tampon to school and Elise has used it...its stuck and she needs your help....WHAT?? I had never given a second thought about her being in the bathroom with me...she's a girl.... She just said it looked easy when i did it but didnt think about getting it out.....It took an hour 1/2 of tub sitting to soak it enough to come out.....please tell me I'm not the only one who's experienced this. Was never a thought that crossed my mind...

I'm pretty much tissed upon to be honest. We are extremely busy all the time but have a nice routine regardless. My husband is rarely home so it's typically just the kids and I, and of course our 2 dogs. I'm just glad to see other working moms, if we could encourage one another, keep each other going, lord knows we all have bad days, that's what I would like to see :D

I'm at the point where now I'm trying to work at home so I can be more involved in my son's life. I've missed so much and I just want to be there to help him be the best he can be. If anyone knows about a legitimate stay at home opportunity that isn't a scam please let me know. I really have not been out and about to talk to anybody or build relationships with any women with the same interest as far as parenting etc and it would be nice to interact with some people and get advice. ♡ My name is Sarah, I'm a mother of two ages (1,2) and a step daughter which is also 2. I choose to work a long time, before I meet my husbend. I started taking classes and training, eventually having paid classes to become a careprovider in various adult family, and assisted living places around my area at that time. I currently work as such, part time; along with working retail at a very well known retail, as a cashier for almost fulltime. I'm trying my best to best provide for our family, as I know others are as well. I do love being a mother, never would give that up!

Be Present, that is my advice. Don't multi-task when you are with your child. Pay attention to the depth and quality of you presence when with your child. This will mean that you'll need to restrict idle time and multi-task when not whith you child.

Hi. I am new to this site/community. I'm always looking up things for my son whether it be re: his development, health, education etc I am a new mom; my little angel is just recently 5-months; what a joy all the new changes etc!!
I'm hoping to obtain some advice, maybe answers, any guidance on my current situation. Long story short, his father and I had moved in together a few months into my pregnancy &were engaged shortly after ( note- we have been on& off together for over 5 yrs and always spoke of this type of a commitment, life together; we were very excited ). So, things were going well; I almost couldn't believe how good it all was and felt. Then, as things got a little stressful financially, mostly, he started to pull away/shut down and I felt alone. Sometimes he'd open up, talk to me but mostly he didn't and then became nasty and eventually called off engagement, (via an email). Now I hadn't figured anything out as far as going back to work because at that time, couple mon ago, I didn't really need to so thought would have little more time. When together then, I mentioned I could start a work from home job and since all this occurred, I have been trying to find something like that Or at least something where my son can also go like a childcare on premises. We just cannot afford daycare now and I've heard how crazy expensive it can be. Does anyone have any advice on this for a recent Single mom who is trying to figure out/ plan a lot for my son and I going forward. I don't know how I'm going to afford rent on own going forward, or things we need; I do get some things from WIC but just found out not eligible to receive food stamps because we still live together and they take his income into the mix! How do I prove even though that's case, we don't have shared account and I don't see that money. Very frustrating as well as little scary. I'm asking and researching etc but still feel at a loss. Eventually one of us will have to move out; where do I go from here with no $ really and this, obviously, all new to me! Please advise if can; thank u!!!:)
