Hi my name is Christina Burke. I have an energetic son Robert, AKA Robbie. I work full time as a trauma PA. I work about 12 extra hours a week to pay the bills. About 8 shifts are over night. So most days I'm exhausted or running around to get things done. My son is not in daycare. My husband and I have worked our schedules so one of us is always home because we just can't afford daycare. I've noticed even though we do lots of play dates n trips to the park ect. He seems not as socialized as most kids his age. He's good once he gets to know the other kid but that usually takes several 1:1 play dates. If anyone has any advise I'd greatly appreciate it.

Im a working mom that feels great working out. Its my out!

See How I lost weight.

Both their real-life experience and the latest fitness research suggest that low- to moderate-intensity aerobic exercise, while beneficial, is not the fastest route to leanness and overall health that many people believe it is. The real key to fat loss is high-intensity exercise, especially strength training.

And I'm a working mom with two boys aged 8 and 10, I work Monday to Friday 8 - 5 and it's so sad that as a working mom we don't get a lot of time to spend with our kids. When we get home we are all so tired and the kids go to school every day until 4:00pm so they are also tired.

Anyone perhaps in South Africa? :)

Hi everyone my name is Tara and I'm mom of 5 three which are step children whom live outside our home. I pretty recently left a full time 9-5 like job and am now pursuing my own business so that I can spend more time with my family doing the things I enjoy. I'm at home all day with the kids and when my husband gets home I leave to do one or two massages in evenings and try to race back not to miss my 6 yr old's football practice. It's super hard trying to do it all, but I'm on my way to building my own personal training and massage therapy business online so I'm able to work from home and where ever I go. Anyway thanks for allowing me to join a group where people are just like me and I can get tips on being a better mother and better wife while pursuing my own dreams. I look forward to chatting with the ladies and learning new things to try.

Hi! I'm Joanna. I'm a first-time mom to my beautiful (now) 9 month old son. I work full-time as a marketing & public relations specialist. I literally worked up until the day before I gave birth and returned to work after 3 months off. Those weren't done out of choice but out of necessity. I have a very supportive husband who helps out tremendously around the house and with our boy. I am still trying to find that balance of full-time worker and full-time mom. Sometimes I'm great at it, other times I feel like I suck :) Sometimes I wish I could be a stay-at-home mom; other times I'm grateful for the few hours of the day where I can be around adults and eat one meal out of the day (lunch) in peace without being rushed. It's a constant struggle and I'm happy to have a found a network of women juggling the same issues.

Hi Victoria, I know just how you feel. I have a 9 month old. I returned to work in December when he was 12 weeks. It was, and still is, very hard. But it DOES get easier to deal with. Now, I try to think of my time at work as my "me" time. (Sad, right?) but, nonetheless, it's my time to interact with adults and sneak some time in the day to get online. Also, I get to eat lunch in peace without hurrying through a meal like I do at home. It's those little things that I try to appreciate about being on my own for those hours of the day. And, I used to think my son isn't going to recognize me but he does. He gives me a huge smile when I get home and we play together. I bathe him and put him to sleep and that's our "mommy/son" time. It gets easier :)

Hi, I'm a married & FT working mom of 2 kids. One is a teen, the other will be entering preteen age next month. I'm always looking for tips and advice on how to make time for everything. My kids are very active - baseball for my son and dance for my daughter. Sometimes it so busy, that I get home with only enough time to change my clothes and then we are off. Days like this make me feel so guilty because we end up eating fast food and I've been trying to make more home cooked meals. I would love to stop feeding my family so much fast food, but sometimes it just feels impossible.
