Hi my name is Christina Burke. I have an energetic son Robert, AKA Robbie. I work full time as a trauma PA. I work about 12 extra hours a week to pay the bills. About 8 shifts are over night. So most days I'm exhausted or running around to get things done. My son is not in daycare. My husband and I have worked our schedules so one of us is always home because we just can't afford daycare. I've noticed even though we do lots of play dates n trips to the park ect. He seems not as socialized as most kids his age. He's good once he gets to know the other kid but that usually takes several 1:1 play dates. If anyone has any advise I'd greatly appreciate it.

Hello, I'm Shonna. I have a son, who's 4 and a daughter who's 7. Not only do I work full time, but I'm also a divorced/single mother. It does get hard, frustrating and tiring, especially since my exhusband (or wasband, as I call him) left the state almost 5 years ago with no contact with the children, leaving me to be the "everything." ๐Ÿ˜ Nevertheless, in the midst of all of this I was able to gain my Masters in Public Administrtation and I'm 3 courses away from completing my second Masters in Political Science. I will say my tenacity and "greed for success" has landed me a wonderful career with the federal government with unlimited promotional potential, so for that, I'm thankful.
I am a veteran who served 11 years in the armed forces and that has given me huge insight and most importantly strength! My only gripe is that most of my time is now my children's time and I'm letting my needs, wants, and myself in general fall by the waist side! But I understand that I must keep going, because the mortgage, utilities and other bills still have to be paid and food still has to be bought and cooked! MAYBE in the near future I'll regain my identity and become more than just "mommy!" ๐Ÿ˜‹

Hello cynthia, I am a working mummy I work at one of the most customer filled shops in london. I work from 3-9 each week day but because of how far away I live from work i have to leave home at 1pm and dont get home until 11pm. My hubby also works each week day in a school from 3-6pm. I guess for me I was brought up as part of a huge family, I have 2 older brothers who between them have 10 children aged between 15-2 and me having my 4 amazing children.
For me its all about trying to stay calm, having the time to relax once in a little while which as you would also experiance is not easy to do, im very lucky as me and hubby get every wednesday evening to be alone as my brothers takes care of all four of our angels.
You seem like a great mum who does their best for daughter I honour that, its extremly hard being a mummy and as you mentioned having a stubborn child cannot be easy. I thought having 4 under 1 is difficult but they all act so perfectly, I really feel for you, is there anyway that the stubborness could be a faze?

My name is Cynthia and I am a working mom of one, incredibly stubborn 6-year-old daughter. (This has been confirmed by not only my mother giving her my title of "Most Stubborn Child Ever", but also by a clinical child psychologist that her dad and I were going to for a while to learn how to parent HER (specifically)). I have a live-in boyfriend that I have been with for over 2 years (known for 7).

My life is stressful. Very stressful. I work crazy hours, but try to be as active as possible in my family life, including working in my daughter's class, chaperoning field trips, etc. Honestly, I am completely overwhelmed most of the time. "Surviving being a working mom" actually seems like a title of absolute fiction to me most days, because I honestly do now know how I have made it through the last almost 7 years and I don't know if I can even make it until when she hits 18...

How do you amazing women do this without going totally bonkers?

Hi everyone! My name is Kia. I am a working mom of four children ages 12, 10, 8 and 4. I love learning tips from other working mom's to help me juggle such a busy life. I found Circle of mom's while looking for some tips for my 8 yr old daughter who was diagnosed with ADHD and ODD. Having 4 kids, a husband and a full time job is hectic enough. Then throw a child with ADHD & ODD in the mix and some days I feel as if I just can't handle it all. I'm looking forward to learning and sharing with other moms who may have similar situations. I look forward to talking with you all! :)

Hi,

My name is Nikki! I'm a young single working mom-to-be in a corporate setting. I am fortunate enough to work for a company that values my skill and talent and has allowed me the opportunity to work from home and work in the office after my maternity leave. This will help reduce daycare costs and also keep me close to my new baby during his first few years.

I blog as kind of a therapy to my current state and hopefully help other women going through pregnancy and motherhood along a unique path. I share how-to's, organization tips, fashion advice and even ways to save money.
