as others have said all babies are different. my son rolled over once or twice from belly to back at about 4 months. Then for a while he just stopped. At his 6 month check up the dr said don't worry about it since he has good muscle tone and because he is a taller child which requires more make the full turn. After that he did start rolling over and he got quite good at it. The next worry became crawling. He just couldn't get it. Instead he started doing a scoot on his butt using his legs to pull him while sitting up to get whereever he needs to go. Now he is 11 months and still does not crawl but he can pull himself to stand, pretty much run while holding on and even takes a couple steps on his own. My daughter is 12 now and she hardly crawled either. She did a bit of a backwards crawl but started walking early and had it down perfectly by 1 year with good balance. In the moment we all worry. Of course we do we are moms, but the reality is that there is no reason to worry about those sorts of things since we are only doing it because we are comparing. Unless they are way off the target milestones we should all give ourselves a break and save the worrying for when they learn to drive. :)

Every baby is different! What age babies crawl at depends on the baby. My baby is almost 8 months and not crawling yet - although he is very very close! Don't worry about it, some babies never crawl but walk first! When your bub is ready he will crawl - I have been trying everything, putting toys out of reach, crawling around him to show him how its done, etc, etc but he won't crawl until he is ready! Just enjoy the time he is stationary because as soon as he becomes mobile you won't be able to take your eyes off him!

My daughter just started crawling today... 3 days after her first birthday :)
She's been walking since she was 9 1/2 months though.

they are all different, my son crawled at about 7 months he was pushing really hard with his legs (before he could crawl), so we would put our hand or arm by his feet to push off of, then he realised he could move himself so he tried harder to do it on his own, then we would put something he wanted slightly out of his reach so he would struggle a bit to reach it, next time move it slightly further away. My boy did this hopping arm crawling thing first then worked out how to crawl on his own.. Your boy will be fine !!

my first DD didn't crawl till almost 8 months, the second one at 5 months, and now the third just started trying to get up on her knees yesterday at 5 months. Just make sure he is getting tummy time and he will figure it out. But be warned, once babies start to crawl they are trouble just waiting to happen :) Good luck!

my son crawled at 4 months. 6 is average, but some babies don't crawl till 9 months or so. When they crawl later, they tend to go from crawling to standing/walking much faster.

Generally babies begin to crawl, or some similar form of movement, around 9 months of age. If you’d like more information on infant milestones, check out this great AAP-endorsed growth chart from Pathways Awareness: http://bit.ly/713y8u. If you feel your child may be delayed, share these facts and your concerns with your healthcare provider.

Hi there, what age babies crawl varies heaps. Apparently I was walking when I was 9 months, but my little boy is almost 14 months and he isnt walking, and he only started crawling about 6 weeks ago. Even now he doesnt crawl properly he sort of does this comando course crawl on his belly.

around 6-9 months babies tend to start crawling but some do not. they go straight to walking. crawling is not considered a milestone mark that doctors look towards so if your baby does not crawl then that is okay.

Well all babies are different, my daughter started at 8 months. It totally depends on the child. Some start earlier than others.

Every baby is different and therefore babies crawl at different ages. My son started crawling at 4 months but my friends daughter didn't start crawling until she was 9 months. But i think the typical age is about 6 or 7 months.

I have had 2 children & they were both completely different - my son crawled at 11 months & my daughter crawled at 7 months. He will do it when he is ready - don't worry.

My son started crawling at 9 months, its usually depends on the child, most babies crawl between 7 to 9 months depending on their development. But 5-6 months is a bit early and only starting to learn to sit. So he will before ya know it.

My son is 7 1/2 months and still not crawling. I go to a baby class every Friday. What age babies begin to crawl depends on the baby. There are 5 other babies between 7-8 months, none of which are crawling yet.
