i really don't like my job anymore. i want to quite but have no choice. i am the only one working right now and its hard for him to go out and find a job when we only have one car. and we live far away from everything. we live in a small town. but the next town is about 30 or more miles away. we also have a 5 month old. we don't have anyone to watch her. don't trust anyone around here. does anyone have any good ideas what i could do?

Remind yourself of why you need to work. A lot of families are in that situation as the recession hit men harder than women, especially those who were in construction & finance; male-heavy industries decimated.

Think if there's any way you can save money to get a 2nd car, even a junker for him to be able to get out to interviews, or work to find someone you trust to watch your child for a few hours if he needs an interview. If there's really no one you trust in your small town, consider, can you move the other town 30 miles away if there were people there you could trust? It isn't good to be isolated just the 3 of you if you can help it. I bet if you ask around mothers groups at churches or a community center if you have one, you'll find trustworthy people.
