Don't ever put cereal in formula. It is a known choking hazard. Mix a little in a bowl with the formula and make sure it is on the thin side. Then use a spoon and slowly introduce it. As you baby learns to eat the cereal then you can slowly thicken it.

Our dr. recommended for us to start cereal in his formuala (1 tsp per bottle) at 4 months old b/c our son had acid reflux and it helped with that. We started spoon feeding cereal at 5 months.

Never put cereal in formula, not a good idea. Cereal in a bowl mixture with formula so it's like a pudding and then add some fruit. I didn't give this to my daughter until she was almost 6 months. They need to be able to move the food around in their mouth. They so have a gag reflex that they will need to get over so just give them a little bit each time on the spoon until they get over that part. Once that happens they be crying because your not feeding them fast enough. lol - have fun with it.

I would also say to not put it in the bottle. As the other mom said, make it into cereal and feed it off a spoon. It will teach them to eat off a spoon. Usually you start cereal around 4-6 months, assuming you don't have a family history of food allergies.

Never!!! Putt the cereal in a bowl and mix the formula into the cereal. Let them suck off the edge of a baby spoon. Did that with my daughter at about 3 months. Just a little kept her full longer. Her doctor told me that cereal in the bottle was not a good idea and just a little in a bowl makes a big diff. She caught on quick and her feedings went from every 2 hrs to every 2 1/2 to 3 hrs.
