I have been out of the diaper loop for 14 yrs and here I am expecting a baby!!! I don't remember what I used with my first so I'd love some recommendations on which diapers you mom liked best.
Thank you!

Neither, try Luvs. They are cheaper and work just as good as the others.

Pampers are the best but not always budget friendly. My second choice is luvs or a store brand but NEVER Huggies. They leak from the side but somehow remain dry

I used huggies on my son, but I like pampers wipes because they are softer. With my daughter I use luvs. Cheaper and just as good.

I used Pampers swaddlers when my babies were new borns, after that I went to the Taraget brand and Luvs. It really depends on your child and how much they needed to be changed, and if they aren't going to get a rash from them.

Everyone is talking about Huggies of Pampers. Did anyone used Earths Best Brand. They are basically no chlorine unscented diapers. Any experience with this would really help me before I buy for my daughter... Thanks

First off congrats!!!!!!! I see this is an older post so you have probably had the baby by now. Honestly I prefer Luvs over any other brand!

I know you have had a lot of replies already but I thought I'd pitch in. We buy Pampers Cruisers Ultra. It is the top of the line pampers. Although you don't get as many per package I find it absorbs so much better than the other diapers without getting bulky that we go through less diapers. For when the babies are little we like the Pampers Snugglers. (I have a 1 yo in diapers all the time and a 3yo in diapers at naptime and at night.) I am a thrifty person but I have learned one place not to skimp is on diapers. The first poopy blowout from neck to feet you will wish you spent the extra couple of $. I find the Huggies and Pampers Baby Dry to be about the same. They get bulky pretty quick can sometimes blow out the back and through the leg holes. If my littlest one wears either of these to bed at night the pee seeps right through the material and he is soaked in the morning (about 12 hours from last change). The other discount diapers (luvs, CVS) are even worse and my little guy with sensitive skin sometimes would get a rash from the material. In order to get the best deal we usually get our Pampers C.U. at BJS for about $40 big box. They usually have coupons for $4-5 off.

Luvs all the way in this house, the pros are they cost less, they work great, no leaks ever, love the baby powder smell too. I used them with 3 of my kids and currently use them with my 4th. If there wasnt Luvs around I would choose Pampers baby Dry but why pay more for something I can pay less for oh and FYI Luvs and Pampers are both made by P&G company.

I am a first time mother and I liked Pamper's Swaddlers for the first few weeks because of the indicator strip. Now I prefer Up&Up (Target's brand, if you're in the US) because the're as good as Pamper's (minus the indicator strip) and are MUCH cheaper. Being this isn't your first child, the indicator strip isn't a necessity so I'd go for price.

I have the answer! Both are good... for different reasons. I always used Huggies, but I had little skinny-butt babies. Pampers never fit right on my little ones. My friend had "round-butt" babies, and always bought Pampers. She said that Huggies always leaked (makes sense, huh?). So... do you have a skinny-butt baby or a round/plump butt baby? :)

I used both...when my baby just a newborn, we used Pampers. Then we've been using Huggies as he getting older.

Pampers are the best. Huggies made both my children sore and they seem to leak more to.

Pampers are definitely better. I once used Huggies for my daughter, but she always leaked in them and somehow I feel the quality used by pampaers is more skin friendly.

When they are little the Pampers Swaddlers, but as they start to move around, I use Pampers at nite becuz I food they absorb much better then Huggies, but use Huggies "little movers" during the day because I find they are like droppy and don't sag. But sometimes I use what every is left and on sale. Just a heads up if you go on either websit you can sign up for coupons that are sent in the mail to you.

I loved pampers when they were little (partly because i couldn't find huggies in nb size). When they started crawling they leaked badly so we switched to huggies and that solved the problem.

Both. however, some people have reactions to 1 or the other. my oldest brother and son had a reaction to huggies so they had to use pampers and my middle brother had a reaction to pampers so he had to use huggies. I on the other hand didn't react to either but my mom chose to use pampers with me.

When my son was younger, I used whatever was on sale because diaper changes are so frequent with little babies. At about 9 months, he began leaking through the "no name" diapers and huggies. I switched to Pampers baby dry and haven't had a problem since. The Pampers cruisers have been good too but I found he rashed a little easier with them. Good luck on you new arrival!

I would say there is no answr for that one, Diapers are so expensive this days I use anything that's on special for that month, I use them all from pampers, huggies to cuddlres and my never experience ant problem so I would say try them all and see which suits him/her best.

We've used both, and Walmart brand and Fisher Price's Happy Days & Nights.... for Newborn & size 1 I found Huggies to be the best, but my daughter got bad rashes from pampers.... once she got to size 3 we decided to try the fisher price ones and I LOVE them, less rashes, and the happy nights hold more, no more getting her up, picking her up and getting leaked on in the morning!!

Hi. i find pampers the best. huggies are not as flexable and leaked alot with my little girl. after newborn range, move on to the active fit as they are more comfortable. good luck. x

I used Huggies just because I don't like the purfume they put in Pampers. Also I think I went with Huggies because of the umbilical cord cut-out which pampers didn't have.

Unfortunately there is no easy answer to this. With my Daughter, I used Huggies. Now I have a son who is 17 months old. I started with Huggies, but found he kept getting terrible rashes with them. I switched to Pampers Sensitive and they work wonderfully.

I use pampers swaddlers on my baby. They are soft and I've never had a problem with them. I tried huggies but when my daughter would pee thats all she smelled like. Every kid is different though. My first daughter I only used huggies. So I would try them out and see what works best for you

I have used both( gots tons from the baby shower) and have decided to use the Huggies. I was also out of the loop, my youngest child was 10 years old and now I have a 7 month old baby.

For us, we found that pampers worked the best. I liked how the swaddler pampers felt when my baby was first born. We did try Huggies as she got bigger and other brands trying to save money but they all had problems with leaking and or irritating her bottom so we switched back to pampers.
