I am in school full time in a career change from social work into the field of Law
My days vary, some days I leave at 8:30 - 5:30 and others not till 1pm - 5pm.
She was 6 months old when I went back to school
I am a single Mother, her father works in the professional world and supports financially and takes her 2 nights out of the month.

I save people money! and love my job :) I work from home 3 to 4 hrs day helping people save money and teaching them how to earn it :)
my husband worked until 1 and half yrs ago when he had major back surgery and a rod placed in his back. now its just my income. we live comfortably :)

Hi, I'm Diane. I'm new to Circle of Moms and to this group. I work full time as a legal secretary, and like Asha, I have a 45 minute to 1 hour commute each way to work every day.



I have 3 children: Carlie is 3, Erin is 2 and Chaz is 1, so life is very busy for us.



I look forward to getting to know everyone here and maybe even learn how to balance life a bit better. =)

Hello, all.

I am an Application Developer who works at least 40 hours a week (usually more) with a 45 minute to 1 1/2 hour commute (depending on traffic) both ways. My 3 daughters are almost 3 years (next month), 19 months, and 5 months. I only took my maternity leave with all of them, so I have always been full-time. My husband works for AT&T and works a normal 40 hrs per week. I must say that I have a wonderful husband who helps me alot... I take the girls to daycare every morning and he picks them up every evening. I am usually home for dinner around 6p (I tend to work late one night a week). We have a great routine that works well for us. After dinner, he bathes our oldest two while I lay out clothes for the next day and get the pajamas and diapers ready. I bathe the little one... he dresses the oldest and I dress the younger two. My middle child is in bed by 8:00 to 8:30p and my oldest usually by 9p. The baby goes to her crib when I go up around 9:30p... and it all starts again around 5a (5:45a for the kids). Works great for us... and I love my job so it is all worth it.

Hi, I work at the atlantic Superstore as a deli clerk, I have done so for 7 years minus the Mat-leave, I work about 30 hrs per week, my son was 10 months old when I went back to work, my husband is a commission salesman for Hunpty dumpty\old dutch chips, he works Monday-Friday. I work 5 days a week, 2 of those days being most saturdays and sundays, my husband comes home, and I meet him at the door give him a kiss bye and off to work I go, I get home about 9:30 at nite, most times he is ready for bed by then, he has to get up at 5am.. So I never get to have supper with my family, and I rarely see my husband, it sucks, but I have no choice, if I worked in the day, by the time I payed a babysitter, I would be working to pay the babysitter, so really I have no choice.

The night shift is actually great! It works out great for us. When I work two nights in a row, my mother in law watches Katelynn, otherwise, Katelynn and I nap together. I love not having day care! Plus the snuggling during naps is awesome too!

wasnt it hard to go back to work so early after you children were born? i would think that working nights would be so hard

I work as after sales manager in a small company. i have half an hour walk to the office and have 40 hour weeks. at the moment i often work over-time after kids have gone to bed. my husband is home more than i and he takes the children to and from day care. our son is almost 6 yrs and daughter is 3 yrs old. i changed jobs 2 months ago since i had to travel so much in my previous job

I am an night shift RN in a very small hospital, so I do it all. ER, ICU, Maternity, and Medical-Surgical. I work 36 hours a week. My daughter was 4 months old when I went back to work. My husband is a graphic designer. He works full time days, 8:30-5.

Hi Amber, I work anywhere from 36 - 60 hours a week(3 -5 nights) either as a RN in a Hospital Emergency Department or as a EMT-specialist. I work 12 hour shifts at night usually from 6pm to 630am, and I have a 45 - 60 minute commute. My husband works in a Foundry evening shift from 3pm to 11pm 40 hours a week. I have 2 daughters my oldest is 12 and my youngest is 3. I went back to work when my oldest was 3 months old, with my youngest she was born in Jan and I had just started my second semester of Nursing school...so really had no time off. It was rough but worth pushing through. I like working nights because I can get home in time to take my oldest to middle school, come home spend time with my youngest before taking her to pre-school and then I go to bed and wake up in-time to pick them both up from school and spend a few hours with them before heading into work that evening, if I don't have to work then I enjoy every moment with both of my girls

Hey! I work 40 hrs a week, I sit a desk all day doing blood work. I went back to work when Lydia Turned 2. My husband is a WV coalminer he works 50 hrs a week. Lydia is going to be 3 years old this month. Even after this long i am still not ajusting to working again. But i am making the best of things

I'm a salon owner and independent beauty consultant.

i work anywhere from 40 to 65 hours a week.

My daughter was 6 mon. old when i went back. I would have went back sooner but we had some medical issues.

My husband is a manager at mcdonalds

he works 30 to 35 hours a week

Hi Amber! I am a single mom of 2 kids. My daughter is 3 1/2 and my son turned 2 in Sep. I am going to be starting a new job as Financial Support Worker for a non profit organization that helps intellectually challenged adults live in our community. I will be working 32 - 40 hours a week. My daughter was 11 months when I went back and my son was 10 months.

Hi Amber! I work 40 hours a week, M-F, usually 9-5, but I have a 45 min-1hr commute each way right now. I am a HR Information Systems Consultant. My husband also works 40 hours a week, M-F, and works 7am-4pm. He is a network engineer for a major pharmaceutical company.



I have two kids, a daughter, 3, and a son, 1. I went back to work with my oldest when she was 3 months old, and I went back to work with my son when he was only 3 weeks old, after having a c-section! :+(... It was incredibly difficult, but things have started to balance out since my son turned a year old.
