My 3 year old daughter is pretty much the same way. She isn't scared though, just stubborn! I try to let her run around naked for 5 mins or more before bath, while I have the water running & she almost always goes then. We use her getting to help me with stuff like dishes, laundry, doing things for baby (5 month old) brother, etc. she loves helping with chores that aren't cleaning up her toys! We also give her horsie coins! She loves to ride the horse at the grocery store & we can get her to do just about anything (usually) for horsie coins :) We put them in a cute little coin purse when she earns them. I also have a bag of goodies that I got from the birthday party section at Walmart, that I let her pick something from sometimes. I find if the rewards vary, that she does better. I also got my daughter to pee in the potty for the first time by pouring a bit of warm water in her lap while she was on the potty to "get her going" & it did help her. Sometimes too, I go when she goes & make it like a race. :) I also keep telling her "time to go potty" not "do you need to go potty" over & over until she goes! It is so frustrating because I know my daughter knows, she is just too stubborn/too busy to go! Good luck!!!
