My workout routine consists of an upper body pull day, an upper body push day and a leg day. I also do abs and cardio everyday. I rotate these days so that I also have two off days which I usually just do abs and cardio.

What is your routine? Is it working for you?
I have been doing this for a few weeks and I am a need results NOW type person ... which is not the attitude to have for fitness!

My routine pretty much consists of running w/ my kids in the jogger. I run 5+ miles, 3x/wk. On Saturday mornings, are my long runs avg 10+ mi.(depending on if I'm training), I run by myself while my hubby watches the kids. I've started doing some core conditioning (read about it in my running magazine) to strengthen my whole body.
We'll see how it goes!! Diets don't work for me. I try to eat healthy but I do get those awful cravings!!

I run 2.5 miles every other day  do arms 2 days a week, legs 2 days a week and abs (ugh) usually 4 days a week. I try to eat healthy but with me I will not really lose weight unless I cut out majority of carbs. I have noticed quick results when I use the highest weight I can handle, a tip I got from a a trainer.

I have been using the "You on a Diet" workout dvd which has three workout levels.  They are 20 min each and have helped me strengthen and tone my body along with 30 min of walking around my neighborhood for cardio.  Its convenient, quick and I highly recommend it.  If you are looking for a dietary change that will help you shed the pounds and feel better I recommend the book "You on a Diet" by Michael F. Roizen and Mehmet C. Oz.  It not only give meal plan and guides, it provides various info on what causes weight gain and how to overcome the obstacles that can derail you.  Hope this has been helpful.

You know what I've found to bring me the best success and rapid results? Is constant strength training. I think we all too often get fixated on cardio and that it's the key to us losing weight, but fail to recognize by weight training, you burn more calories and gain more lean muscle. I've discovered that in some of the Beachbody programs that I've become to LOVE! Something for everyone and they offer some great training from professionals. I've been able to drop my gym membership and get into better shape than I EVER have been, by going to the gym and doing weights and cardio. A simple mantra to remember....MUSCLE BURNS FAT!

I think we've all been conditioned to think that if we lift heavy weights, that we will build bulk and not be feminine. Not true! If you lift heavy weights with low reps, you'll build lean, sculpted muslce, all while burning tons of calories. Why? Because your body is working so much hard lifitng those heavy weights, that by the time you put them down and get on with your day, your body is still burning calories. With cardio, you stop burning calories when you finish your activity. Who would've thought??

Hope this is helpful! I've got lots of great programs that align with this theory.

I have been working on cardio pretty hard. I try to get 60 minutes of cardio and then do upper body one day, and lower body the other day...it works out well for the time I have each workout.

I too am a results now person but I feel like the results are feeling great at the end of the workout. It looks like you have a good plan. Keep it up!
