Hi everyone. I was wondering if the children were all being taught about puberty at school. In the UK our children are shown a video series in year 4 (4th grade) We start school a year earlier here than in the US so the children are 8-9 years old at this point. These are the living and growing videos the school shows, but they are out of order. It should be like this:

Differences

> How did I get Here?

> Growing Up

>

> 7-9

> Changes

> How babies are made

> How babies are born

>

> 9-11

> Girls Talk

> Boy Talk

> Let's Talk about Sex

I live in Australia - My son will particaipate in "sex education" this year at school for the first time. He and his peers will be 10-11. Parents are given an info evening and a "family planning councellor" will tell us what is being taught to the kids - this councellor will also talk to the kids and I believe from hearing mums talk about it in the past it will cover puberty through to sex through to child birth in very quick succession

It is my understanding this also changes from state-to state in Australia...
