My daughter thinks it is so cool because she turns 12 on 12/12/12. She wants to have a special party. She is growing up too fast. She has her first dance in the third grade and she didn't want to go because she didn't have a date. What is going on with kids now a days? It scares me to know she is worried about stuff high school kids used to.

That is cool!! Our school doesn't have dances that early. When I went to the dance in the 8th grade we just all went as groups of girls and guys that meet at the dance...man times have changed! I think that is way too early even at 12 to have a date. My opinion...

Wow. My daughter has the same birthday. I didn't realize schools had dances for third grade. My daughter does have a "boyfriend" but not in the sense that adults or teenagers think.
