Hi all! I am thrilled to join this community - I was nominated for Circle of Mom's Top 25 Funny Moms list for my blog Facing Forty Upside Down (www.upside-down-patty.blogspot.com) and I'm looking forward to getting to know you. I'm a yoga teacher and a mom to 2 kids with special needs. I'm always returning to the breath in order to get my balance back! I am able to maintain inner peace a lot better than outer though, I think my anxiety plays itself out in my house - clutter and chaos everywhere! I would love to hear from other moms who have struggled with this and how you manage to keep organized, calm surroundings even when life feels overwhelming.

Hi Nancy! I love that image of the pioneers - I'm watching the Little House on the Prairie shows with my daughter and it's reminding me how much I loved the simplicity of it all. Here's a link to my "Operation: Find My Floor!" series of spring cleaning posts - it's an ongoing process! But there are some funny pics and stories here. Enjoy! http://upside-down-patty.blogspot.com/se...

I simplified my life, I got rid of all the excess stuff lying around and naturally there was less to clean, leaving more of my day open. I try to remember that if the pioneers, indians, cavemen, didnt need it, I probably dont either. I would love to read a blog about how you overcame the clutter and how it made you feel, because I have to admit, my life is easier now and its because I learned to life WITH what I have instead of FOR what I have ;)
