My daughter goes from constipation to diarrhea. The constipation is from my mom feeding her too much rice with seaweed. the seaweed is fine but the constipation is not. I eat an American Diet where as my mom does a Korean diet since she is Korean.Problem is the constant change in diet is causing diarrhea when she is back on American food.My niece had the same problem too. my mom won't listen to me when i tell her constant change of diet isn't good for a one year old.Not sure what is the best thing to do for my situation.Any advice?

I'm not sure what to say here, because I'm not a big fan of the American diet (even tho I'm American). don't make a it a power struggle between you and your mom. Research foods and decide what is healthier for your daughter. Make a compromise with your mother, and remind her that you are trying to raise your daughter the way you think is best, and when she was a new mom, she probably wouldn't take too kindly to her own mom trying to interfere with her parenting skills. She might not agree with you, but remind her that her granddaughter is the one paying the price for not trying to work with you. Compromise on both sides is the most important thing, and remember, she loves your daughter too.
