I have a 10 month old son that is waking every 2 hours at night to nurse. For a while at 6 months he would sleep up to 6 hours because I made him "cry it out" but now he is back to every 2 hours. When I let him cry he goes for sometimes an hour and it is so hard. Any suggestions? Thanks!!

my son is doing the same thing and i realized he wasnt getting enough food and his schedule kept getting off and he didnt have a constant nap schedule.... we eat solids about 5-6 times a day now....

There is a possibility that he is hungry at night. I have a 7 month old that I had to change her night time feeding. She has slept through the night since she was 2 weeks old. I now give her cereal before bed as well as a bottle shortly after. Her typical day is 8am cereal with 3 oz of formula and 3 oz to drink, about 1130am a 6 oz bottle, about 230pm she gets a jar of veg, about 430pm she gets a 6 oz bottle, about 630pm she gets a jar of fruit, about 830 she gets her bowl of cereal (same as morning) then a bath about 20 minutes after she eats and a 4 oz bottle right before bed. She is in bed no later than 930pm every night and she sleeps through the night. Also listen to the cries. Don't let him see you if it's just a getting your attention cry or just making noises. And if you do have to go in at night don't turn on a light. Keep a night light in the room. This way you aren't waking him up comletly and just do a quick diaper change and give him a bottle and put him right back to bed. I don't even really talk to my daughter either when she does happen to wake at night. I just do things quickly and put her back to bed.

Thats how my daughter is. Fill him up before he goes to bed, I dont know what ur feeding him right now, But fill him up, But you will need to let him cry it out, it will suck for a few day's. But it wont hurt him, and adventually he will fall back asleep.. GL
