My daughter is due very soon for her first chicken pox shot, and i am wondering if it is a painful one for them? And is there many side effects they can have from them?

well, whenever you get a shot they actually give you the virus to help your body to fight it off. yes the intial stick dose hurt...that is why you get them young, she won't remember. but stock up on infant tylenol drops, pedialyte,and a heating pad w a cover to prevent burning of the skin to to relax the injection area so the medicine will work its way alittle more quickly. trust me i know your frantic. i still cry after having five kids, when it's shots time...and hear the kicker..i'm not scared of needles! i just hate hearing my babies cry...i'ma big softy.
