21yr old mother of 4month old twins needs activities!!!

Sleeping at four months is completely normal..babies will go through stages where they sleep more and less, often due to growth spurts. When my son was four months old, we went for walks, I played music for him, which he enjoyed, and he loved being in his Jolly Jumper. I also started reading to him at this age, short board books...he loved being able to see the pictures and hear the rhythms of the stories. Also singing to them and reciting nursery rhymes will help their language development and provide lots of entertainment for them. Nursery rhymes where you get to touch them and tickle them are always a big hit, or with actions for them to watch (e.g. Itsy Bitsy Spider). Teething toys they can chew on and manipulate are also a good idea...my son's favourite was three plastic rings that were linked together. He played with those for a long time, and at 14 months, still picks them up every once in a while to see if he can pull them apart. As for stimulation, just sitting with you while you fold laundry and hearing you talk to them is stimulating, or walking around the mall, or sitting outside and watching things go by...babies don't really get bored as long as they're not locked in a dark room : )

thanks! ok good im glad to hear they can still sleep often...their mats have hanging toys too, and they LOVE the tv, i too assume its cuz of colors, i feel bad putting them in fron tof it as a last resort but they do love it...thanks for the tips, i love going to stores even though it is rough, its kinda entertaining watching ppl stare them down like they r some kinda show lol. i didnt know if i should be like doing "art" and stuff, cuz at the day care i wored at even this young they did it....but the kids haed it and wouuldve much rathered been left on the floor. i jus dont wana be neglectful

i have 2 year twins a boy and a girl and they did sleep alot as well but i would put them in the stroller and go for walks, go to the store just to get them out of the house and trust me i know how hard it is to get out with twins everyone wants to stop you and talk but i knew i couldnt keep them caved up in the house make the best of it because they grow way to fast

My daughter is also four months old and she still sleeps quite a bit. When we started putting her in her swing over a month ago she would just fall asleep in it and sleep all day and then give us a hard time going to sleep at night time, but once she was asleep she'd sleep straight through the night. Just recently I stopped letting her sleep in her swing because she wouldn't fall asleep anywhere but, so when she started to nod off or get a little crabby and start rubbing her eyes, I put her in her crib and she now has no problem with sleeping in her crib, and only sleeps for naps and not catnapping all day long. As far as activities go, I don't really do any with her because there's not really too much she can do yet. She loved to play on her mat- it has toys hanging down for her to swat at and look at and she can roll from back to front and front to pack and she plays with some soft toys and chew toys that make noises or light up. You can get second hand toys pretty cheap in thrift stores and even online, and if you wash them up they should be safe. She also loooves to watch the t.v., which I don't like but I assume it's only because of the colors and sounds that gets her attention.
