I am almost 25 weeks pregnant with my 2nd daughter. I have never started to spot after sex but this last time I noticed a bit of spotting when I wipe after going to the bathroom. I dont know if I could of been to dry (sorry if too much info) and the friction caused me to spot but I dont know if I should be worried. I feel my daughter moving so I am thinking everything is ok. If I continue to bleed I will call the doctor but I have my next appt this week so I will let him know then. But has any other moms ever had this happen and everything turned out to be ok.

Ok let me help you!! This happened to me except it wasnt just spotting to me it was like a whole wipe of blood. I got so scared. seriously traumatized me!! we rushed to the E.R. she was our first so we had no idea and i had read that pink/red blood was not good cuz thats fresh blood whereas brown is just old blood and spotting that was ok. well we went everything was perfect i was confused tho why was i bleeding?? they said something when the penis is in the vagina it can poke at something ( so sorry forgot what it was) but it doesnt harm the baby but some blood can come out. Anyways i would never advice a worrying mother not to bring it up with the doctor but do not worry!! Dont worry until they say you have something to worry about i know easier said than done but if the baby is moving then that is the greatest sign :D Trust me i was there and that wasnt the only time after wards like a month or so later when i went to the bathroom ( not after having sex) i saw spotting. but here am now with a chunky healthy baby girl :D

p.s. even after that i was never told not to have sex. so when u get checked they will tell you.

i would call the dr to ease ur mind....i had the same problem a few wks ago with my husband but i'm only 14 wks...this is also my second pregnancy....the dr said that it was just irritated from sex and if i wasnt cramping or anything not to worry.

Thanks Samantha.. I have a doctors appt. Thursday so I will see what all he has to say. I am going to hold off though. I hate seeing blood.

Definitely bring it up with your doctor at your appointment if you don't have more bleeding before then. I had bleeding twice during my first pregnancy. I know it's scary. The amount and how you feel can help ease your mind. If it's a little it could be from tearing or from your cervix, which can become sensitive during pregnancy. If you experience cramping while bleeding or if you're soaking pads with blood then definitely call your doctor. You can always call your doctor to ease your mind. I didn't have an appointment anytime soon so I went in just for that. I had my daughter on her due date and everything was 100% fine.
