38.5 weeks pregnant and wanting to be done...

I can totally relate! I have a two year old DD and am about 36 weeks. I will be having a scheduled c-section at 38 weeks due to being high risk, but I'm so ready to be done. I love the fact that we're having another baby, but with the intense pressure and pain in my pelvis, the back aches, the constant need to pee, the hard time sleeping, let alone rolling over.....I'm just ready to have her and start recovering.

I'm spending the next week washing baby laundry, getting the room ready, packing my hospital bag, etc to try to keep occupied. I just keep telling myself, "only 19 more days....." lol

I just had my third child 10 weeks ago at 38.5 weeks pregnant. My Ob had been telling me for about three weeks that he would be here any day as I had lost my plug and had a history of being early. I was going for huge walks every day and getting massive amounts of ligament pain because of it - it did nothing so was not worth the pain. My waters broke at 6am on the 3rd of Feb and nothing happened so they finally induced me after lunch on the 4th. I think they just come when they are ready - although I will prob still do the same thing again next time!!

I know what it's like to just be 'over it' at 38.5 weeks pregnant and wish that you had the patience and energy for your other children again. I hope it happens for you soon. :o)

My best friend astounds me! She has had three pregnancies and is on her fourth. She looooves being pregnant the whole time and wants more kids. I can't imagine loving every single minute of it.

OMG.. I felt the same way whe I was pregnant.. I was in and out of the hospital with my daughter now 1month old.. When I hit the 37 week mark I felt like I could not take it anymore and wanted to get her out.. I did not want to be pregnant anymore.. I had her at exactly 1 week early.. With a little bit of help.. I was doing fine at the hospital dialating slowly but surely and contractions were comming and at 5cm they broke my water and then all hell broke loose.. I had to be rushed into emergency C-Section because the cord got wrapped up around her neck and her feet.. But all is well and we are both healthy... I hope that you feel better and things work out for you.. Just go with the flow..

i feel so bad i keep snaping at my little one and my fiance and i know its now fair to them but omg i think i am going nuts... i know its almost done but the days are just taking forever. its nice to know that there are other women who feel or have felt the same way.  you know its funny b/c what do so many of us say after we have the baby "i kinda miss being pregnant" or "i like being prgnant" we all say it (for the most part).

i remember feeling like that too.. i just wanted to be non pregnant again.. lol.. worst thing was, i was 14 days overdue before i was induced..it dragged and was very very emotional... i was like ''just induce me already.. aarrgghhh!!''

Hi, I'm 26 and am getting ready for my second baby. I know exactly what you mean! I'm 37 weeks pregnant and get so mad every time I put on a shirt that USED to cover my belly. I had to go buy two new shirts today because nothing is long enough anymore. I also have ridiculous conversations now because my brain stops working sometimes.

I'm also having a rough time getting comfortable enough at night to go to sleep. I wake up all the time to pee or to move.

I'm so glad I'm having a scheduled c-section this time around. I was two weeks late with my first one and I cried for the last seven days.

Unfortunately for my marriage, my husband is the one getting on my nerves. Some days I can't stand to hear his voice. Other days, I can't get enough of him. Poor guy.

I think my second pregnancy was worse than my first too. I was 2 weeks late with both though.

I can relate. My son was born the day after Christmas. I had been in the hospital about a week before and they had told me that they expected him to be around 7 lbs. I thought no big deal. Well, he was born weighing 9 lbs 2 oz. OMG. It was no wonder I was so miserable. I only gained 26 lbs which I later learned was probrably mostly him. LOL. I just didn't get very big so he was cramped up in my ribs and I couldn't breathe. I have no idea where this monster child came from. :)

I'm so done it isn't even funny.  I hit 37 weeks pregnant and every braxton hicks makes me stop and go "please let this be it".  I have a 3 year old (3 months shy of 4).  I just want it to go naturally due to my gestational diabetes, because if my sugars get worse, or if my bp goes up (I had to be induced due to pre eclampsia with my oldest), then I get induced again, and I really really don't want to go through that experience again.  And I'll be induced around my due date if I don't go into spontaneous labor before then.  My doc will check me next week again (at 38 weeks pregnant).  At 36 weeks pregnant I was dialated to 1cm but not effaced yet.  So I'm just hoping he gets here soon.  I just want to be free of hip pain, pelvic pressure, and diabetes meds!!!

And as far as getting on your nerves I can't tell you how much I sympathise.  Mine is driving me nuts, and it isn't so much his fault as me being super irritable!!!  :)

i was so stressed out by about 34 weeks pregnant with my 2nd but think this may be because your alswo running around after another child my eldest was 3 wen i fell pregnant and was so busy i was more exausted. got 2 say i never made it 2 40 weeks pregnant my baby was as eager as i was and came along at 36 weeks

i too remember the frustration of the last few weeks wait, my kids were induced early i knew i had to have them out by 38 weeks as that was my specialists cut off for me my last 3 kids the last month was so frustrating! I tried all the old wives tales walking long hot baths pineapple curries you name it i was so desperate i tried it!

HELLOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!! My name is Lakeisha. I'm 22 soon to be 23 years old. I have a nine month old son. Girl, I understand your pain. I was done with being pregnant during the first month. I hated the Frequent Urination. Yea, that's all that I couldn't stand. I know when you're getting close to the end, all you want is for it to be over. I was a little itty bitty lil something with the biggest belly you've ever seen. Ugh! I wish I had pictures for you. You must have your hands full with your 3 year old. Just hang in there mommy :-) I'm here any time you wanna talk.
