I measured small at most of my visits. It all depends on the position of the baby and how big you are really. Most babies are still born normal size. I was measuring 2 weeks behind a few days before my daughter was born. It's normal.

With my first son I measured 4 weeks to 6 weeks smaller my entire pregnancy untill about the 30th week. Then all of as sudden I woke up one morning and bammmm!!!!! Week 32 I was 34, I went fron not bein pregnant to carrying tiwns. I deliver an 8lds 3oz 21.5in long baby and had 2 liters of amnio fliuid. I only gain 20 lds. Crazy!!!!! As long as you can feel him move I would not worry.

I was measured 26 weeks in my 24th week and almost 30 weeks in my 26th week. His father is 6 foot 1 so we expected a long baby. By week 32 my doctor was concerned that it was getting too tight for the baby because I was still measured as 30 weeks. I was due june 1 and went into labor on May 26th, the baby was born on the 27th. 6lbs 7oz, and only 20 in long. He was all torso, and head though. The doctor said what happen was he got to his max length fast which accounted for the large measurments, and settled into the birth position which evened out and stop the growth pattern.

My son dropped into position quite early (about 37 weeks) which meant that my measurements were smaller than they should've been. As long as your midwife is happy, I'm sure there's nothing to worry about. Good luck with the birth x

I'm experiencing the oposite. Since wk 25 i always measured even 4wks more! Me and my partner are both quite tall not big tho so our baby just gonna have a long legs! ;-) Now i definitelly won't reach the 40th week so will see how big he actually is when he arrives. I dont think you should be worried> big or small..as long they are healthy!
Good luck x

Yes I also measured small. I really didn't gain a lot of weight either. My baby actually stopped growing so I was induced at 37 1/2 weeks I also had some other problems as well. My baby was a tiny little 5 lb baby, but healthy in every way. By the time he was 5 weeks he was 10 pounds and by the time he was 3 1/2 months he was 15 lbs so he has made up for it. The only real problem I had was that he was so small I had a ton of problems with him latching. My son is so healthy though.

yes I measured small with both mine both on was 7lbs the other was 7lbs 11oz. I am built small so I was all belly and around 35-40 weeks i started measuring small because the baby had dropped into position and with my first she was frank breech and was stuck in my pelvis so I also measured small because of that. My OB wasn't worried about it so if yours isn't I wouldn't worry.
Yes! With both my kids I measured small (only by a couple of inches). But, my son was 10 lbs. 3 oz, and my daughter was 8 lbs. 7 oz...so don't worry. Odds are you're fine and the baby's healthy. It all depends on how you're built, and if you're doctor isn't overly concerned about it, you shouldn't be either. You've got enough to worry about, right?! ;o) Good luck!
