just wondering if anyone here has had experience with a 3 or 4 in 1 crib? are they worth it? are they as safe as a standard crib? are they easy to adjust? and anything else you can think to add would be appreciated... thanks! :)

We just got an inexpensive one (relatively) from walmart for $159, but it seems really sturdy and it was easy to put together. My 1 year old sleeps fine in it, and on the lowest setting I don't think she could climb out. Adjusting the mattress height just consists of unscrewing 4 hex bolts and re-screwing them. They are worth it if you really like the look of your child's crib and want to keep it for the head and foot board of your childs bed later on, which is nice if you have coordinated all of the furniture in the room.

We have not used our yet, since the baby won't be here till Sept, but we got the Graco Tucson 4 in 1 Convertible Classic Crib (Cappuccion color) on the Walmart website for $100.00. Looks really good and its has not been on the recall list.

a 4 in 1 crib will eventually convert into a double bed... where as a 3 in 1 generally just goes from crib to toddler bed to day bed... or something similar...

I have a three in one....I personally have never heard of a four in one but my three in one is just as safe as any other crib. As in all things the directions should be followed and not modified.

deffinatly!

it can save you money as they last longer. they are as safe of you follow the guide lines. like when the baby can sit up put the bed onto the lower level and when standing lower again and when it comes to havin the child into a bed you just take the cotsides off!
It is also good as you wont be changing the whold bed when it comes to moving to a "big bed" and may not be as scary
