my friend has an almost 3 month old and is currently breastfeeding exclusively and she is diagnosed with acid reflux and is currently on zantac. she seems to be very upset everytime she is not in somebody's arms being held upright. she absolutely HATES the car seat. she will literally scream the entire time. for example we were out for 4 hours and she cried the entire time. she refuses to take a pacifer. when she cries to locks her whole body up. any suggestions. we need help. she does not give up when crying. and by the way she is actually really teething. we see the teeth coming thru. any suggestions or encourage or sympathy is welcome. thank you

my 2yr. old had that its a terrible situation i tried a few different things he was cranky gassy and spit up like crazy we tried different milks for him till we finally got him on neutramagen so the best thing that helped me was a nice warm bath with bed time bath by johnson&johnson i would rub him down with the lotion ,those milacon drops and a warm bottle of water for gas and if u dont have those try a lil baking soda in warm water bottle and and rub and pat his/her back lightly it use to get a lot of air off his stomach and he would sleep good. my son use to tighten up like that also and wake up in da the middle of the night screaming and for her teeth, i used baby oral gel and i would rub his gums with a cool cloth he loved it i kept taking him to the dr. because i was worried they gave him the same medicine nothing really worked because he had the problem till he was about one so i recommend just make sure she as comfortable as possible and try to keep that air off her belly im sure thats whats making her fussy. good luck to you i hope it works out for u. .

I am going through the same thing my 4 months old was diagnosed with GERD and he is on something stronger than Zantac, it tastes absolutely disgusting, but it seemed to really help. He will only sleep on his tummy which helps his acid, What kind of car does she drive? I had a Scion TC and he would scream the entire time non stop, I just got a Malibu and the way the seat sits helps him so much and he is much better. It is still frustrating and you feel like nothing can help. The meds he is on ow is called Omeprezole, have your friend ask the doc about it. It's really hard to give to your baby but it's only on once a day. Good luck!

Have you tried Oval with the zantac (if it's comaptible) My son had some serious acid reflux to the point where he would stop breathing. It was terrifing and horrible because I felt so helpless. Have you spoken to the doctor maybe they can tweek the amount or give some alternate suggestions. Also If it about the time where baby gets tummy time it might help if there is a gas build up. Also if there is a gas issue try bicycle movement with baby's legs while she on her back see if that can help other than that I feel for you..
