Advice on hair dye during 2nd trimester??

I'm now 22 weeks and was thinking of dying my hair. Nothing too extreme, just want to put in a few highlights in. If it's something that's going to be bad for the baby I won't do it. I know they say not to dye your hair during the first trimester. Any advice on whether or not I should do it, or if there's a particular brand or something that would be safe during pregnancy?

You'll find that some people will say it's perfectly safe but i personally went the whole pregnancy without colouring my hair -just in case :) No harsh chemicals are a great idea even if they are "safe". If you can wait it out, your just doing the safest option. (whats another 3 months??) But if you can't then maybe just opt for an amonia free colour.

i hav died my hair two times in my second and 3 trimester it doesnt harm the baby but i wore a mask to make sure the fumes didnt get to me but dont use anything with bleach thats wat i was told but you should be fine

I dyed my hair with at home hair dye all through my pregnancy. I used several different brands. My doctor told me that it was fine and wouldn't harm the baby. Just make sure you do it in a well ventalated area. He said that they just tell you not too because sometimes the dye doesn't come out the color it is supposed to with all the hormones. But I never had a problem!

I am a hairstylist and once you are out of your first trimester it is fine to color your hair. But I would check with your doctor to make sure it's ok. I hope this helps
