I had a blood test, which is supposed to be accurate, & it came back negative when I was 6+ weeks pregnant. Tests are not always accurate. Every woman's body is different. I agree, either way you should see a doctor if something is wrong, it sounds like your intuition is telling you something, please listen to it, God gave it to us for a reason. Try the health department or go to the emergency room if you are in pain, if they are non-profit like a community hospital, they have to treat you regardless of your ability to pay. Hoping 2010 brings many blessings your way.........

Call your county's board of health and they'll give you the name of a free clinic I'm sure. You should probably get to a doctor at some point to make sure you are pregnant, and if your not to make sure everything is good. Good luck and feel better- hopefully its a little one making you sick and nothing else.

I would take a test again in the middle of the month if you still haven't gotten your period. Try to take it in the morning with your first pee that's when you have the most hormones in your system for the test to tell you. With my first I was almost three months preg. when I found out cause I had a period every month. I also had a sister in law that had a period for all nine months. So that is not always the determining factor. If your period came and you are in a lot of pain you need to go to the Dr. now because you could be having a miscarriage and for some people that can be very dangerous.

Quoting Brandy:

I was 8 days late in April then had about a day and a half of spotting then nothing. Since I have always had a very regular period with a heavy flow lasting usually about 5-6 days, I took a home pregnancy test. It came up negative and when my period never came except for that day of spotting, I went to the doctor and she did a pregnancy test and it said negative. The next month, I got a regular period but went to my doctor to switch my birth control. I told her I didn't like it because it made me feel pregnant (emotional, breasts hurting, mild nausea) and so she asked me to do another test and it came up positive. When I went for ultrasound to see how far along I was, they said I was already 11 1/2 weeks so I was pregnant the first time and it came up negative for some reason. With my first baby, I was only 4 days late and took a test and it was positive before I even put the cap back on it. And at that time I would have only been just over 4 weeks. So anyways, what I'm getting at is that there is such a thing as a false negative and you could be pregnant. But if you think that you are sick in some other way, you should try to find a way to see a doctor. I don't know how that works because I live in Canada where all health care is free but maybe there is some kind of program for people who can't afford it or a free clinic or something? Hope you figure it out and feel better soon.

I love being a Canadian!

Try going through a charity? There has to be something out there to help.

Brandy, i had something similar happen. I took a test on oct 11, i was 3 days late and my youngest was 3 months odl that day. It came up positive. Did another one the next morning just to make sure and ti was negative...did 3 more tests over the enxt week and they were all negatve. The Dr did one the following month as the period i got a week late was lithger then normal. The test for her also came up negative. I got my period in nov and it was veryu very heavy and was 5 weeks instead of 4 weeks. Then this month i was suppossed to start before christams and i never did so we did more tests and all negative. I started about 6 weeks and it is very heavy again. I'm now worried and have to get in to my Dr when she's back in the new year. I know stress can cause you to be late but this late! i was surpirsed. I hate going to my in laws and the drive there gives me anxiety attacks as it's a 9 hour drive and we always get a storm when we are driving so i'm srue that had somrthing to do with it but i had light spotting throught the week about 3 days after i was late so 5 weeks and 3 days in and it was veyr light. I hope to get answers soon to find out what is going on with me.

Can you get to the hospital? Do you not have coverage for hospitals? We don't pay for anything here except our perscriptions and even those are cheap becasue we have medical coverage. There should be someone who is able to help you. If you are in pain you need to be seen. If your period came and you are still sick you need tog et in to the Dr ASAP. It could be your apendix or you could have cysts that are rupturing, which si very painfull.

Good luck and i hope you are able to find someone to help.
