My mother always said to me if there is a positive result no matter how faint it's still a positive, but if you go to the doctor they have much more sensitive tests. Also you can get a false positive after being pregnant so it's possible for someone to have a miscarriage and or just have a baby and get a positive result. So again when in doubt see a doctor.

Thanks everyone. I ended up waiting a couple days and testing again. This time I got a much clearer positive result. Baby #2 on the way!! :)

I would say if you feel different then yes call the doctor, I had a negative blood test when I was already 3 weeks pregnant so everyone's hormones are very different and mine were night and day with different pregnancies. Good luck!

Both my sons registered as negative so yes is there is a line faint or not you are pregnant.

Yes it does count, both my pregnancies came up with a faint line and it took ages to show

This just happened to me. I took the test and it took a while but the second line was faint. Did a few more and it happened again. I went and got blood done and I was pregnant :-) I have a very irregular cycle so I am supposed to be 8wks but am only 6-7wks. Maybe you ovulated later than you thought which means the hormone might not have been as strong when you tested :-) congratulations!

i say you are. but you might be a little early thats why its coming up very faint. give it a couple more days. i just found out im pregnant with my second and when i took the first test it was very faint i took two more the next day and they came out better. congrats

YES go to the doc get bloods done just to be sure, i had a negative result after 3 home test positives at the docs he was rude and refused to give me a blood test! i was 6 weeks gone lucky i had the good sence to go to another doctor who explained negative results can occour depending on the age of the test,how its stored the time of the day, how far you are along..even how much water you have drunk so alot can affect the test..it is less likely 2 lines no matter how faint they are are wrong good luck i hope everything turns out the way you want it to

Usually if there is a line, no matter how faint, it is still a positive. If you contact your doctor and tell them you think you are pregnant they will want you to come in to have a test done so they know if they need to start prenatal care.

its rare to have false positives,id see the doctor and have blood work done. thats your golden result.
