Any rock/metal mummys out there?!

I am! I'm into metal, rock, punk, ska, reggae and everything in between! My hubby and I are really into music of all sorts, but rock is definitely the primary! They also seem to be the only types of music that will calm our 6 week old daughter down when she gets all fussy and worked up!

I LOVE that kind of music!! My son is only almost 8 months old, and I play it in the car when I am driving. But when my fiance is with in the car, he doesn't let me play it for the baby. He thinks it will give him nightmares! LOL But I am hoping he follows in my music taste =]

My son loves TOOL and so do i , he starts headbanging with a super serious face , he also loves Nirvana , Pantera , queens of the stone age , A perfect circle , Led zeppelin , sublime and when he hears Hendrix he yells G-TAAAAAR ! haha just like his mummy and daddy , he is always pointing out his daddies guitar and making him play for him .

Cooper also has a collection of rock a bye baby CD's its all your fave bands in lullabye form i really recommend Metallica ,, TOOL and Led zepplin they are beautiful and great for sleep time !

I listen to ALL kinds of music. Liam (3 months) gets really excited when i put alice in chains on, and he falls asleep to pantera.

I listen to everything literally and i don't see the harm in it they are going to learn it somewhere might as well be around their parents to explain what it means and don't mean.

My bf and I listen to rock/heavy metal. Boyfriend is lead singer in a band and all 6 of our kids love to rock out!!!!!! Music has to be blarring in the truck and watching my 2 almost 3 yr old son head bang is the cutest thing ever!!!!

I love metal/rock/etc. I have a difficult time finding "freak" mommies around my town. (Before I had my son, I went to goth/metal/freak clubs.)

I like music of all kinds. A lot of the songs we listen to (and that I happen to sing to my now 10 month old) happen to be Irish drinking songs.. LOL! And when riding in the car while listening to Adam Lambert he used to "sing" along.

My hubby and I are both into punk rock, metal, and heavy metal.
I've been listening to it since I was in the womb and am raising my son the same way. We bought Rockabye baby cds and he listens to them everynight as he goes to bed :D

I love metal and rock so does my daughter who is 6, my son not so much who is 8months. Thats all i listened to when i was pregnant so when my daughter was born to get her to sleep we had to play Metallica!!..who would have thought:) I listen to alot of main stream Metallica, Korn, Disturbed, Marilyn Manson, System of a down, Guns n Roses and Linkin Park. Going to my 1st Metallica concert in October YAY!!!!!

I like heavy metal/rock, but I also listen to country music. My daughter loves listening to Five Finger Death Punch and my son prefers country.

choking victim - fav band ever
agnostic front, devildriver, aus rotten, smashing pumpkins, streetlight manifesto, propaghandi, nirvana, pink floyd, sublime, doors, subhumans, global threat, hedwig, killers, white stripes, hives, some anti-flag (most of it sucks but some of it is pretty sick), operation ivy, bad brains, special k....my list could go on and on and on. i listen to a lot of punk, skacore and ska. street light and aquabats are pretty kick ass. and keasby nights. Choking victim and op ivy are kick ass ska core bands.

some of the music i like i cant listen to around my kids (like choking victim) but my daughter LOVES the aquabats, nirvana and sublime. she totally rocks out and its awesome.

I'm into rock, punk, some metal, and such myself. Dad is too, she is sure to be a rocker chic. There is nothing wrong with families enjoying the same music!

Aww good to hear! i got told once it surly werent good for my daughter to lsiten to such music. my responce was ok ill let her listen to the rap music with all the cuss worlds and killing ppl lyrics lol Shes grown up with all sorts but mainly rock/metal etc :)

i listen primarily to mainstream rock/classic rock/metal etc... my daughter LOVES it! her fav band is metallica lol. every time one of their songs come on the radio she starts dancing and singing and shes only 10 months old. the only radio station i listen to is the bear (edmonton, alberta, canada station). i also dont care what anyone else says about my baby listening to it, shes my lil rock n roll princess lol :)
