i usually just watched how much to drink they had, for example, we have dinner at 6 pm, bed at 8. they have something to drink with dinner, and if they are thirsty, a little water after that, but basically not a lot of liquids right before bed, it helps too. like an hour before bed no drinks, if it is needed though, give a sip or two, don't let them suck down a whole bunch, and make sure right before they hop in bed you make them go pee. if you just ask them if they have to go, they always say no!!lol. good luck. but also remember, boys can be harder to train, and there are alot of boys who are fully potty trained and still wet the bed, even when they are older, up to pre-teen age.

It probably sounds a bit weird but I used to open a bin liner and cut in half and put that on the mattress with a towel on top and then the bed sheet on top of that!

My son does really well now with not wetting his "undies" during the day and when we take long trips.
I would like to get some tips on how to go about night training... What is good to cover the matress with, incase of accidents.

When I was night training my eldest son, I used to make him go to the toilet before he went to bed, then when I went to bed I'd wake him up and carry him to the toilet (so he didn't wake up too much and then want to play!!) and then carry him back to bed. I only had to do this for a couple of weeks before he learnt to do it himself- obviously there were a couple of accidents at first but you'll get that with any method you try!!
