Anyone been able to RESTORE dried up milk supply if so how long did it take to do so?

Like Andrea, my milk production increased quickly when I began taking Fenugreek. I took the pill supplement encouraged by my lactation consultant. My prayers are with you and your baby! Keep us updated!

I eventually was getting so little milk I tried everything with little help, but I recently got a prescription from my dr. and it was the best I just took it a week and got my milk back I would talk to your dr.

OOooo good question! I haven't experienced this myself but YES it is possible! It can take a bit of work though. But if you're determined, you can do it. Why did your docs urge you to quit nursing? That could be a factor on weather you can relactate. You would probably need to start putting the baby to breast with the feeding tube. That way she is stimulating your nipples and sending the message to your brain to produce milk again. You will definately need to relax and try not to get frustrated or impatient. It may take a little while. Definately get in touch with a La Leche Leader in your area, they are so helpful and knowledgeable!

FYI: Did you know that it's even possible to breastfeed an adopted baby?!

You can try something called Fenugreek in a pill or tea... it worked for me but stoped taking it at 6 months because i was pumping!!! Ask your Dr or you daughters Dr before trying but it prob fine... it worked wonders it doubled mine within hours of taken it!!!
