I had some bleeding with my first...this is my 3rd. The bleeding was never like this with my first. His ultrasounds turned out fine. The dr did an ultrasound today. Suppose to be almost 7 weeks. The ultrasound showed no embryo and it measured at only 5 weeks. Dr said he has seen this a lot before where there is a baby, just too small, but I am freaking!! Anyone help me?

DONT STRESS UR SELF TOO MUCH THERE HUN! I DID IT W/MY YOUNGEST DAUGHTER AND SHE WAS JUST FINE! MOST OF THE TIME IT IS JUST "OLD BLOOD" AS THE DOCS CALL IT. I DO UNDERSTAND UR CONCERNS THOUGH, SEEING AS I HAVE HAD 3 MISCARRIAGES. THE MORE U STRESS THE WORSE IT IS! RELAX AND TAKE IT EASY!

I have 3 children and currently expecting my 4th. Soon after I found out I was pregnant at about 9 wks I had some minor cramping and light bleeding, at least enough to ware a pad over night. I was worried but didn't freak out and rush to the ER that weekend. That Monday I called my OB and they recommended that I go to the hospital to have an ultrasound that day. My ultrasound seemed fine and they noticed some blood that was still present as well as 2nd placenta and umbilical cord but no baby. I had miscarried a twin. Since then I've had occasional bleeding and cramping, but I'm 27 wks now and the other baby is fine. I don't want to scare you. Just want you to know things happen and take it easy!

Thanks all.....the dr did an exam today and pretty much so said it was a miscarriage. They did take blood and will again tomorrow to see what my hormones are doing. Guess we will just see, but pretty much so looks like we lost this one. :(

I had bleeding when I was pregnant up until I was about 6 months, and the doctors could never figure out why. I would have bleeding for a whole day that seemed to be like I was on my period and I the next day there would be nothing, then a week would pass and it would come again. It was very odd and scary, but the doctors did all the checks and extra ultrasounds they could. Don't be afraid to go see the doctor as much as makes you feel at ease, that is what they are there for. Everything turned out fine for me, my son was born 8lbs 5 oz! LOL.. just take it easy as you don't want to be put on bed rest. Best of Luck! Hope everything turns out well.

I had bleeding from anout 9 weeks all the way until 27 weeks......It was a very long scary pregnancy.....they still don't know 100% why it happened but I have a beautiful daughter now.....I did have some problems with my placenta however(it was calcified) so she is very tiny.......Just relax as much as you can, I know it's hard I stressed the whole time which I think made it even worse. My thoughts and prayers are with you. And look at the bright side, if it's anything like my pregnancy you will get extra ultrasounds so you will have lots of pictures!!! I had 7 ultrasounds!! Good Luck

7 weeks is pretty early, I think. I went with my friend for her first ultrasound at 8 weeks and it was just a little speck on the monitor. As for the bleeding, I had massive bleeding with my 2nd that turned out to be from placenta previa, where the placenta is too far forward but I was 11 weeks at that point and was on bedrest for a month. BLEH no fun. I'd keep an eye on it, but the best thing you can do is pelt your doctor with questions. You pay him to answer questions, so fire away! Good luck!
