Anyone have or had a baby with reflux?

Hi I change my baby onto formula, karicare HA-AR. It was great he even came off all medication, under dr's advice of course. Hope your bub is doing better soon.

my daughter had the same thing after she was born due to swallowing birthing fluids & she had it untill she was year old. drs gave her reflux meds but didnt seem to help so we added some baby cearal into her bottles & fed her half sitting up. after couple weeks she had a big improvement. not spitting up as much or as gasy.

Hi everyone,

thanks for all the feedback! Babe is now 6.5 months old. I stopped the meds after awhile as they weren't doing much since he was spitting most out. The doctor told me it was fine to stop, and the solid food was really helping, for about 2 weeks. He is still having issues with the puking, and it hasn't gotten any better. Poor guy!! People say the babies grow out of this, but I'm not seeing any improvement and it is very discouraging to see him puke soo much! Anyway, thank you all for the tips and advice!

My son started eating solids at 6 weeks becouse of this...he hated the meds and got sick with every bottle so he was losing tons of weight, he is fine now. he also spent his first year either in his swing seat, bumbo or car chair. It was the only way i could gethim to keep food down and stop crying. thank goodness they grow out of it to a point ( gabriel still has a big problem with gag reflex so he is a very slow eater)

At 5 months old he will be able to tolerate solids( i know ALL the baby books will tell you not to do this but seriously sometimes you just need your child to be full.) oh ja also check some kids with reflux get diagnosed as lactose intolerant and put on soy - this did this with my son but he was actually alergic to soy not milk - just so you keep an eye out for that too

Sounds like cow's milk intolerance to me. My son is 16 months and is on a prescription formula. He was a whole new baby after switching from the breast to the RX formula. He also has many other food intolerance besides the cows milk. Good luck to you and your family

My son was diagnosed with reflux at 3 weeks old. Medication was not recommended for my son and instead we were recommended by our pediatrician to use Rice cereal mixed with his milk. It worked.

Try calling your local Chiropractor. We use a homeopathic Chiropractor who also does general health. They might be able to help. We just took our daughter to our for her sinus infection that started up and she is already doing better. A friend of mine said she took her baby in for reflux and it helps, especially if it is because of tissues causing the reflux. Hope that helps!

My dd had it from 4wks to 16months. You can flavor the medication they use, that's what we did! If omeperazole doesn't work after a week or so, you will probably need a ppi like Prevacid. That's what we had to do unfortunately. Good luck!

My daughter had it from day 1, the docs kept telling me it would go away but it came to the stage where she was choking as she was vomiting, i eventually demanded for her to be checked so she was in hosp for a few days, they ended up prescribing her "Gaviscon sachets" which you administer in her bottle it worked a treat and i was able to wean her off it after a few months. She turned 1 this wk and shes perfect and reflux free!!!! Hope you get it sorted for him soon.....

My 1-month-old was projectile vomiting after every feeding and was diagnosed with pyloric stenosis. After questioning the different doctors we met in the process, it seemed the PROJECTILE vomiting was a symptom of this. I wanted to share because in researching the possibilities before we could get in to see our pediatrician, acid reflux came up in the search results. If your little guy has Reflux, that's probably a different creature, with similar issues...the amount of puke alone can be a pain to deal with. We had a full-sized bath towel on hand at all times, and that still didn't seem to be enough.

This is the worst ever. My son is 6 months old and has been on 3 different medications and it still has not helped. :( My son does the same. If he eats a bowl of cereal tho he doesn;t spit up. He gets cereal in every bottle and in his jar of food. Thats the only time he doesn't spit up and i can't feed him cereal for every meal. If he poops he also spits up everything. It's very frustrating, but it really never bothers him. He just spits up and goes about his business(crawling) like it never happend. Does he get cereal and other food? We are also on Similac Sensetive. He also will only sleep on his stomach wrapped up tight. They said he would grow out of it, but not thus far! I hope you find some relief soon. God Bless

Dear Tara,

We only discovered the reflux when my son was 6. Our doctor told us we have to avoid fat food, fast food, chips, cola and candy. No jumping and running after feeding. The upper part of the bed should be higher than the down part, with 8-10 cm. We treat it with Lansoprol and less emotions. Reflux is very common when the kids are hyperactive or, as in our case, have asthma. Try to feed the baby at least one hour before sleep and dont bathe him too much time. Avoid citrus fruits and fresh tomato, fresh onion, etc - anything that makes the stomach produce more gastric liquid.

my daughter has this problem poor lil babas my doc told me to put gavascon infant in her bottles 3times a day took about two week for her to get used to it, works a treat my only problem now is she is solid feeding doc said to start weening her off it but she goes back to square one!!

My son is now 22 months an for the first year of his life he threw up everything he ate did not matter what it was, they finally diagnosed him with reflux at 8 months....we went to different doctors changed his formula 10 times an nothing helped until they gave him medication.....it took about 2 weeks to fully get in his system an start to work where i could tell a difference but after those 2 weeks he has been fine an when he was about 15 months he was taken of his med an has been fine ever since....his doctor said that he grew out of it an that most kids will.

yes i experience this with my first baby boy and he started a few days after he was born throwing all his bottles up but it took them till he was six months old to diagnose it but my health visitor told me to try and wean him at 3 months and that helped him to settle at night coz he was full frm baby rice but he did grow out of it in the end xx hope hes well

Both my son and my daughter had reflux, my daughter alot worse tahn my son, and sometimes still suffers with it now, we were prescribed gaviscon infant and it seemed to settle it a little, I fed her little and often and that a;so helped a little, try putting books under his cot mattress to raise him a little. there is also a milk available on prescription to help :) x

My daughter has this and is finally out growing it at 9 months! still pukes sometimes but much better:) I also bought a fisher price newborn napper for her to sleep in! they are only around $50 and they fold and go anywhere. it was a life saver!!! good luck and hang it there...it will get better:)

My 12 week old daughter was diagnosed with silent acid reflux almost two weeks ago. She has been on Zantac, which has improved her symptoms dramatically. I always thought she was a fussy, clingy baby and that was just her personality, but about 3 days after she started meds I met her true personality for the first time. She is a happy, chatty, playful little girl who is now happy to be held by friends and relatives. I was reluctant to put her medicine so young but after seeing what a huge relief it is for her to be out of pain I am really glad we took the pediatrician's advice.

My 2nd baby also had reflux. My GP prescribed Gavascon for him (of all things!) and it helped alot. They do grow out of it most of the time. Good luck and keep up the good work (being a Mom is the BEST job in the world!) !!!

Hi , my little girl had acid reflex .....the doctor gave her prevacid for her meds. i was also told she needed to be proped up at a 90 degree angle while she sleeps and after bottles.

your lil guy will grow out of it trust me and if ur really concerened about wether or not his acid reflex is subsiding you can go and get an exam and x ray done on him to see if the meds are working or not .

my son was diagnosed with reflux at 2 months. He was put on zantac which did nothing,then after a reflux test they gave him previced. which really helped! He was also put on alimentum formula and that offred alot of relief as well. He didnt want to take his medicine either but i finally found something that would work...i disolved his previced in pedialyte and now he doesnt realize hes taking medicine. But it is hard at first and it will get better! My son is now almost 6 months and he is a happy healthy baby,but he is still on the prev.

I went through this with my youngest son. He threw up all the time and was not tolerating certain formula. I took him to see the doctor and he was diagnosed with reflux when he was just a month old. He also hated taking the medication. He just threw that up too. He was a very cranky baby too. He would scream from 8pm till about midnight. I thought he was colic, but found out that he was a reflux baby. I put him on emfamil AR. It was a good one. He kept that down pretty well. It was expensive but it helped him out. Medication did not help my son. He finally grew out of it. Your baby will eventually grow out of it. It is annoying, but hang in there.

My 5 yr old had it and my 1yr old has it. My 1yr old has been on ranitidine since he was a month old. I also put my eldest son on soy formula and my youngest on the lactose sensitivity formula. Worked great. I started giving them both cereal at 2 months. My older son grew out of it but my youngest is still on his medicine at 16months.

Haven't read the other posts yet but what worked for my daughter was the swing! My husband and I thanked the inventor of that swing pretty much every night. She slept and napped in that swing for about 4 months. Also, we had to feed her in the car seat from like 4 months to 7 months because she got too heavy for me to hold upright for like an hour straight a few times a day. Once she started eating more solids she started to grow out of it. She is now 14 months and ever since she was about 11ish months she has completely stopped spitting up. Also, we had switched her formula to Enfamil AR, it is thicker.

Yes with both of my kids it was ridiculous but they outgrew the screaming and spewing at 7-8 months. I chocked up their beds so it was on a 40 degree angle and burped them really good and kept them upright for 20 minutes after a feed to help it go down (after the spewed half of it up already). Also if you're bottle feeding make the bottles in advance and keep them in the fridge so the bubbles go away before the feed I noticed there was a lot more spew when there was a lot of froth.

I know this all too well!.. As all three of my children had reflux and they all out grew it at various ages. My babies would scream and cry the moment I layed them flat and projectile vomit accross the room or all over me!..



It is far worse for you as a mom with soo many sleepless nights than it is for your little one...



A couple of tricks that seemed to help me that you may want to try:

-the fisher price infant to toddler chair (it helps keep baby proped uplike a carseat)

-baby swing

-thickening the breastmilk/formula (you can check with your pharmacy)

-Yop drinks (I started giving my baby Yop at 6 months in a bottle; it was a life saver and very handy and is a thicker liquid that seemed to stay down)

-medications at room temperature (cold/refrigerated medications made my baby scream worse)

Hey my two boys had reflux I swopped their formula to cow and gate's Comfort formula - it is thicker than normal formulas and stays put longer it was loads better than regular formulas as he gets bigger the reflux will stop as the head of the stomach tightens up

Oh god, my daughter was like the kid in the exorcist!! First off, babies that have acid reflux are often lactose-intolerant. Try switching to a soy formula to see if that helps. I added a scoop or two of rice cereal to my daughter's bottle to thicken the milk, which helped her keep it down. The pediatrician prescribed Xantac, which I gave her from age 3 months to about a year, when the reflux subsided on its own. As for sleeping, forget the beautiful crib you probably spent hours putting together. (LOL). I had a swing that was convertible to a rocker or fixed at a slightly rear incline. My daughter slept strapped into that until she was about 6 months old. Good luck!

My 9 yr old was put on Losec at 4 weeks old. She did brilliantly, as long as you manage to get it down, it works wonders. It take a few weeks to start working efficiently but after that life will be smooth sailing she was only on it until about a 1yr old. Good luck just perserve!!

My son is 14 months old and still takes his reflux medication. It helps as long is the dosage is right but you can tell when he needs to be moved up. I also reccomend using bottle for colic if you formula feed. We liked the Dr. Browns bottles. Also we just let WH sleep in his swing casue he slept better and wasnt fussy from the reflux and not sleeping. Hope this helps!

Hi my daughter is now 12 and was diagnosed with it at 3 weeks old. The Dr.s did not give her any medication. They had me give her baby cereal at night before bed. The theroy was that if we coated her stomach the acid pumps would not work as much. We had to raise one end of the crib to a 45 degree angle. And the other thing was instead of a full bottle every three to four hours (or in our case 15 to 20 mins of breast feeding) we cut it in half and fed her more often so every 1.5 to 2 hours. She imporved greatly made things alot easier. She no longer has any issues by the time she was 2 or 3 things were better. You might ask your dr about this method. Oh and my nephew is 4.5 months old and my sister has to do the same thing with him. He was diagnosed at 1 month old. Her pediatrician told her to do the same thing

My son James is 9 months old and has suffered with GERD since he was born. As a first time mom I was so scared those first few months. It took us two pediatrician moves to finally get relief.



James was (and every once in a while still does) projectile vomit. Before he was put on medication it was constant, even if he hadn't eaten recently. He had the arching of back and neck from day one, "colic" symptoms- miserable all day/everyday, constant crying/screaming, the terrible sour breath, the "reflux cough"- and eventually before he got proper care he started refusing to eat completely for almost a week and would fight us when trying to feed him. Instead of looking at us lovingly or securely he would look at us like we were hurting him- crying with just the sight of a bottle. We could never lay him flat nor use the wedge for the crib that you can buy (which i recommed now that he is on medicine)- he had to be nearly upright in his swing, carrier, or over our shoulder. (Which I account for why he had such wonderful neck control compared to other babies his age when he was tiny lol ).



My husband's family and mine both have a history with reflux as babies and through adulthood so I wasn't surprised when I started noticing the symptoms right after birth. James was also born 3 weeks early so that didn't help matters being that his digestive system was not fully ready.



Even being 3 weeks early James was a big boy weighing in at 7 pounds and 5 oz and 19.5 inches at birth. He never struggled with weight gain and never has despite his reflux (thank goodness). Since he had all of these symptoms but wasn't falling into the failure to thrive and continued to gain weight our first pediatrician refused to do anything but try formula changes stating that it was "just apart of being a new mom and he wouldn't remember any of this anyway". After our relentless formula changes and finding that he was allergic to soy formula, refused the aweful taste of some of the others that many reflux babies end up using (such as nutrimigen which made him vomit MORE and was a nightmere to attempt to give him) we finally settled with Similac Sensitive... we also have had wonderful luck with Target's UP and UP brand of senstive formula which is great for the budget and has helped. I can't think at the moment what brand that is comparable to one of the Enfimil's maybe?



We made our first pediatrician switch when he went a whole week without eating more than an ounce every 6 hours at 2 months old.



Our second pediatrician did agree that he had a problem that needed attention. He put us on Zantac (which like most of the GERD meds goes by weight for the proper dosage). At that age they are growing so fast that it is recommeded to go in and do weight checks every month to ensure they are getting the proper amount of meds. This pediatrician didn't want us coming in to check his weight except every three months which we knew from the support groups that we had entered was abnormal for proactive and adequate care. We did see a difference with the zantac at first after it got into his system however he was still struggling. After just a few weeks it seemed to do barely anything and they weren't willing to look any further and I wasn't willing to make my baby suffer So, on to doctor number three which has been a blessing.



Our pediatrician saw James at four months old. They very quickly got us set up with a G.I. who switched him to prevacid (lansopraz) which is said to be stronger. It took a few weeks to see any change but since then we have had a happy baby who generally (every once in a while has a "bad" day) likes to eat, crawl, explore, hit milestones, and isn't afraid of us or the baba.



On his "bad" days he may spit up a bit, have a bitter/sour breath, you can hear him "gulpping down the acid", and doesn't enjoy crawling or napping as much as usual.



The only drawback, at least in my area, is that prevacid is a compound medicine and only two pharmacies do compound medicines (and some insurance companies don't allow)around here. So, we aren't able to go to a pharmacy that we would perfer. Also, it takes longer to fill this medicine and we have to be on top of calling it in days before it is ready to be filled. I'm not sure if that is just our small city/phamacy or not though.



My GI had mentioned when we began prevacid if this didn't work (and she has said James has a pretty severe case of GERD) that she would put him on a combo of prevacid and zantac as they do two different things (one is a acid blocker the other is an acid reducer). Luckily, we haven't had to take that step.



Have you requested your pharmacy to flavor his medicine? Zantac, the first med James was on was hard to flavor because it is naturally such a STRONG Speremint flavor but they ended up mixing it with grape or something of the sort and he took it better. Prevacid we have them flavor it no problem.... but as he is getting older we have sometimes, depending on his mood learned to spit it out if he isn't "feeling it". Sometimes if we sense he is in that mood we have to resort to putting the medication in his bottle or water in his sippy cup even though it isn't AS effective as it would be taking it straight.



I really hope that your little one's doctor finds the right route for him! It is such a relief when it does finally happen- it's like having your baby all over again you can breath a sigh of relief and smile and you don't feel bad that you aren't getting to the bottom of it.

Absolutely understand what you're going through, my daughter has been on ranitidine for a few months now andit has completely changed our lives. It worked within a couple of days and now she maybe only spits up once a day and never that badly anymore. She seems happier and is more comfortable. Hope the medicine works out.

Yes my 7 mon old was diagnosed as a newborn. They put her on zantac and something else. In the end we went the all natural route and started using herbal meds. Tea. our family friend had used it on our daughter when babysitting and told us - at first we were upset that she had done that with out our permission but in the end it was a natural life saver for us all. so no more meds or GI docter x rays or other crap. She is hppier and not crying and screamin gall the time.

We were told that our son had reflux when he was one month old. Like you I thought that was his problem, but found out after a few months that his real problem was he is allergic to milk . We had to put him on Elecare, it is a formula that breaks down the milk protein. Since switching his formula he is a different baby.

The poor thing had to suffer for 3 months though. It was so bad he would only sleep in our arms, had projectile vomiting, spitting up constantly, throwing his body and shoulders back, crying through feedings, he would spit up mucus, he cried everytime we put him down, and had blood and mucus in his stool. We were even told by one doctor that he just had colic and had to grow out of it. Finally the doctors started listening and put him on Zantac, and then Prilosec. They didn't help at all but we know now that his reflux symptoms were from his allergy. We took our baby to a Gi doctor and he told us to try the Elecare and we noticed a huge difference in a matter of days.

I am hearing more and more stories like yours and mine where the reflux is caused by an allergy so that is why I told our story. I also don't want any baby or parent to have to go through this hell.

I can tell you that one thing that did help a bit was putting rice cereal in his bottles, it helped him keep more of it down. Also if the meds don't help ask his ped for an Upper Gi test. It is a simple test that can be done to see if reflux is his problem. They did this test on my son and the worst part of the test is that you can't feed your baby 4hrs before it's done.

My daughter went through this when she was a baby, we tried the medicine but it was so disgusting that i couldn't give it to her. She puked up her bottle ALL the time! It got to the point where we had her go see a specialist to make sure she was swallowing ok, and of course she was. The best advice i can give is only give baby a bottle when you're sure he's really hungry, burp often, and try to keep him active and upright for a bit after feedings. We gave our daughter some ceral in her bottle earlier than usual, and thickened it a lot by the time she was six months. When she could sit upright and crawl and stuff we started feeding her ceral with a spoon, and introduced her to reg. food shortly after that which seemed to help a lot. After we switched to reg. food she eventually stopped puking. Good luck, i hope this helps. Don't forget, don't set baby down right after he eats, and don't lay him on his back after he eats, keep him upright and let his food get a chance to settle before letting him lay down or sit in a swing, also if you keep his diapers loose before feeding it prevents the pressure of the diaper upsetting his belly when he eats! Hope he feels better!!

Same thing with my little girl, also 5mnths just starting solids, but on Ranitidine which smells like it would taste quite nice, I think it is weaker than losec though. Puking is terrible but she is usually happy, some foods have been upsetting her, particularly fruits which are quite acidic, which is why we got the medication. I've worked out small amounts of root vegs (like 1-2 tablespoons) or thick baby rice help to hold things down, but she's still sick alot. I try not too feed to close to bed time and have her sit in a bouncer for a good 20mins after milk/solids hoping gravity will help to hold it down.

Okay first of get him switched to Zantac or Ranitidine(generic) I have 3 boys and all three have reflux, the youngest has colic to boot. Get a boppy pillow or the cheaper version of it because it will help him sleep in his own bed. I breastfed all my boys but I know if you stop the feeding after every few ounces to burp him it helps get the gas out so he isn't puking as much. When giving the medicine dispense it slowly and line the syringe up with his cheek and put it back towards his throat. By giving him a tiny bit at a time he's more apt to swallow it until he gets used to the taste and stops fighting it. The puking you are going to have to deal with until he outgrows it, my oldest stopped puking tons at 9 months old, he's still on zantac to this day but things kinda got easier after that point. Good luck. You can try gripe water or gas drops too to help just don't give that the same time as the reflux medication.

Hi, My daughter was diagnosed after months of struggles. I knew something was desperatley wrong as she could not lay in any position with out spitting up what looked like water so violently she would choke. I finally found a doctor who listened to me and did a upper gi and found she had gerd/reflux! They immediatley put her on reglan and zantac. The meds helped for the most part but I found the most effective way to help her was to put a little ( I mean just a smidge) of rice cereal in her milk. This made the consistency a bit thicker than regular milk and she was then able to hold it down easier and I never laid her down until about a hour after eating I figured this was plenty of time to help the process of digestion along.



I remember how terribly frustrating it was to know from the shrill crys, the arched back and the horrible knowing she was hungry but would not eat....knowing your child is in pain and being unable to immediatley resolve the problem is the worst feeling a mother can have. From experience I tell you be patient with him, hold him up lots, give him the meds and do what your gut tells you too. If letting him sleep in his swing helps him get the rest he needs by all means then let him...Sleep is essential to the body to heal and grow and the sooner his muscles grow in his stomach and throat the better for him! Just keep doing what you are doing. The meds do take time to build up and be at their most effective so be patient and consistent and if you don't see the results you like within about a month talk to your doc again.

The worst thing I did during her trials with reflux was let others ( mostly my mother in laws lol) advice make me question my instinct. I dont know how many times I was told to just let her cry it out, or stop holding her you will spoil her or she was a spoiled baby and that is why she cried...I let those things drive me crazy because everything in me told me to hold her upright, walk her if it helped etc...and once I started to follow my mommy instinct and tell others to take a hike with their unwanted advice I was much better off. My daughter was a bit of a lap baby but of course by the time she learned to walk she quickley outgrew it and I count those days spent holding her and walking her to comfort her as blessings and as one of the reasons we have such a tremendously strong bond today. Today she is a happy healthy 9 year old =0)



I will keep him in my thoughts and say a little prayer that you and he both do better and find comfort =0)

my oldest daughter has had Reflux/GERD since she was born. they started her on Zantac & Reglan when she was a baby and it seemed to help she had stopped spitting up around a year and a half old but then around 4 years old she started throwing up often and she ended up being referred to a gastroenterologist and he had an endoscopy done on her and she still had the reflux/gerd and it had been eating up her esophagus cuz she had ulcers on it so he put her on pepcid. she is 8.5 now and has been on the pepcid ever since. dr says she will probably need it the rest of her life because when she stops taking it in about a months time its flared up and causing her pain and throwing up again. my other 3 also had reflux as babies but not as bad, my 2nd daughter was colic as well and i used gripe water for her and it helped ALOT didnt need anything else for her. my 3rd daughter she was put on zantac but had an allergic reaction to it so they didnt put her on anything and since she was 4 months old they told me to just start mixing in some rice cereal in with her formula. my son would only spit up if he was laying flat on his back another other time it wasnt a problem so i had to keep him in the swing or carrier and kept a small pillow under the bassinet mattress & crib mattress for bedtime so he was elevated.

My Bell had reflux, it was diagnosed at 2 months. She was on zantac until she was 9 months old, then she was good, about the time she started walking. She's a healthy eater who loves food at 7 years old now. Don't stress :) It will pass.

Two things you might want to know if you don't already: One...many pharmacies can put flavoring in the meds. Mine definitely preferred grape flavor over the original flavor. And two...a visit to a chiropractor can be a really good thing. They can do something to the stomach valve that helps to shut it, and if you do it several times a day (they'll show you, it's not hard), it helps the muscle strengthen faster, which lessens the duration of the GERD. I did that with both of my boys...very helpful!

My son was 11 lbs 2 oz when he was born. In two months he only gained 9 oz.



He would scream bloody murder after he detached from my breast after feeding, then he would spit it ALL up, ALL over me. I experimented with formulas because I thought he had colic, but he would still scream, gassy and spit up everything, every meal. He would also only poop every three days, but when he didn't poop for almost 6 days, I took him into see the doc. She referred us to a gastroenterologist and the gastro doc diagnosised him with severe G.E.R.D. (Gastroesophageal reflux disease) and also a milk protein allergy (unable to digest the protein in milk...breast or formula). So my son was put on Nutramogen (which costs an arm and a leg), but it did the trick as well as Prevacid twice a day. I gave it to him with a syringe, all the way in the back of his mouth. He never once spit the medicine out.



He was on Prevacid till he was about 10 months old and on Nutramogen till about 9 months, then switched to Isomil Soy for sensitive tummies and at 11 months to Prosobee and now at a year regular soy milk (regular milk still doesn't work for him). He just had his year check up with the gastro doc and he has been given a clean bill of health. But I still keep the Prevacid on hand because at times he has minor flares. He still does have an issue with constipation, so we give him a little bit of Miralax in is milk.



But for the first two months of his life, it was complete hell!!!He would not sleep laying flat and I didn't know what his medical problems were, so I put him to sleep on his stomach, which means either I was up watching him or my parents were. We watched him in shifts. We tried to have him sleep in the swing, but all the swing did was aggitate the acid reflux. As soon as I found out he had G.E.R.D, my parents got the Fisher Price Rock and Sleep for him. It was a LIFE SAVER!!!! He slept upright and for the first time since he was born I was able to get more than 2 hours of sleep. Also during this time, I had a serious breast infection that was caused by backed up ducts because he wasn't feeding properly.



Now everytime I hear a new mom talking about certain symptoms, I tell them to seek a specialist right away! I wish I would have known about all this info before I found out. It would have saved me and my family a lot of heart ache and frustration!

feed him little bits at a time and burp him in between put a small towel or cloth nappy folded under mattress of bed so it is slightly elevated and wait as long as possible after feeds before u put him to bed try a little bit of warm water after each feed aswell it helped my girl wen she had it

My son had reflux when he was born. He was on an antacid,for a while and also wouldnt sleep laying down and ouked after every bottle. I tried a number of things. Sitting him in his high chair for about 20 minutes after

every feeding really seemed to help a little bit. Once he hit a year,old it got a lot better and now hes almost 3 and the only thing that makes it act up is,chef boyardee. It does get better! Hang in there!

&we went thorough prevacid&zzantac neither helped and im holistic anti vaccine/medicine so I suggest against meds if possible,especially if they are no relief,as in my babies case did not help at all and was difficult to get down he couldn't swallow it
