My husband and I went on the HCG diet. You have the option of doing it for 26 or 43 days. I lost 26 # in 43 days and he lost 50#. I am 12 # pre-pregnancy weight. I was really skeptical too, but I have a lot of friends who have successfully done this and kept it off. I haven't gained a lb and I have been done for 3 months. If you want to know more, you can go to myfatcure.com or just google Pounds and Inches, HCG. It is a supplement you take and you follow a very restrictive diet. You HAVE to read the book and it sounds scary at first, believe me. It is best to do it with your husband or a support person, so you can work together to stay the course. There are tons of recipies online too, since the diet is so restrictive. This diet is done in a clinic type setting and has been working since the 70s, but it is expensive that way. It is honestly not that hard, but you do need to follow instructions carefully.
Lots of people are very opinionated about this diet, but it works and I am back to eating normally with way less weight to restrict me.
Anyway, my two cents!

Eat more protein & less carbs. I've lost 12 lbs in 3 wks doing that plus walking. Also, cayenne pepper helps your blood flow better & reduces your appetite, even just a teaspoon a day either by itself or in your food works well.

lets be honest slim fast has way to many carbs and sugar and that is not a diet! Those are and equivelent of a protein shake actually not as good for you... (DO A PROTIEN SHAKE INSTEAD _ LEAN PROTEIN!)but those are meant to be in between meals when they say "MEAL REPLACMENT" they are implying to you are eating 5-6 meals a day. NOT meal replacement as in you drink three a day and thats all with no food... the answer is losing it the healthy way or YOU WILL STORE FAT! which is way harder to lose... there is no such thing as losing weight the easy way only the right way.

before i was pregnant my husband and i were on the slimfast diet i lost 25 lb in 3-4 months. but i'm having trouble with it now with my baby not having time to make good meals. some people have suggested to me the wii fit. you can work out while holding your baby.

I was never overweight but was really unhappy with my body and I tried everything before my pregnancy to lose weight - and I mean everything! The only thing that worked for me??? A no carb (when I say no carbs I mean only 20grams a day) high protein diet and daily exercise...and it dropped off!!! I lost 11kgs in just over 1.5 months and kept it off until I recently fell pregnant!
Of course this drastic method doesn't work for everyone, however it was a last resort for me and it was the one that did it..I will be defiantely going on it again after the birth of our bub in October. Just make sure that you are still being healthy!

It is hard to loose weight the most important thing is to be strong and stick to something good that works. For example like some of the other moms have said, stay away from sugar, drink lots of water, small meals and exercise. you may not see results right away but it will show with time. my advise is, have a strong will and you will make it focus and put your mind to it.

eat healthy....whole grains, lean meats, fruits, veggies....eat 5 small meals a day instead of 3 large ones....eat special K cereal every morning (don't skip breakfast) and exercise -- even if it's just walking for an hour 3-4 times a week. I gained 35 lbs during my pregnancy, and now 4 months later, i lost all but 5lbs. good luck!

My husband is a personal trainer/ wellness coach and what i did and do.. i eat small portion meals every two hours .. no carbs or sugar after 2:00 or 4:00( including fruit, the natural sugars convert into carbs) i think it is 65 or 70% of your results is diet..and always always eat breakfast!! that is a big one! if you want to know like further info as in what to eat specifically and times and all those things... my husband does not charge much at all for written diets.. so if you are interested email me at firstname.lastname@example.org... but if not i hope the little info i gave will be of big help!

everyone says that keeping to healthy proportions when eating, snacking on healthy snacks and exercise regularly is the way to go. and i agree however weight watchers helped me. i needed all of that and the support system i got with weight watchers. i have lost that support system now and have gained back 10lbs of what 20lbs i lost. however, i am getting back into it with my husband which is the best support i could need or want.

yes and it is very simple. Eat foods that are good for you. eat on the low end of the glycemic index and when you need a snack choose fresh fruit and veggies or air poped popcorn with seasoning instead of butter. eliminate junk like soda, crisps, candy and pastries and make sure to exercise. what I aim for is 40 min of cardio every day and strength training. I try to do a 1.5 hour workout including the cool down every day.
I really try to eat as healthy as possible without feeling neglected. Making meals like hearty soups made with tons of veggies and a grain such as barley or wild rice is a good way to keep the extra calories away but still stay full.
google weight watchers point recipees and there are tons of whole meal soups under 2 points. (i think your allowed 20 in a day) remember not to be to harsh on your self. If you want a treat than have one just limit the quantity. I have bought thoes 100 calorie snacks, like chocolate covered pretzels and cookie thins. they satisfy my sweet tooth without going overboard. another good way is to keep an online journal for your friends to read. if people know you are trying to loose weight then you are less likely to give up and they can offer support and encouragment along the way.
exercising with a friend or relative helps to. it will keep you company and you can keep each other on track. joining a stroller group or a salsa babies group is good. you can google what is available in your community. many of these are free or low cost and have a variety of scheduals.
remember that when you do start to work out you may gain weight because muscle weighs more than fat, you will be healthier though and you will loose the fat.
good luck, I hope that I helped!
