My daughter is 2 months old and recently shes been crying and screaming while shes still asleep. I will go to check on her and shes fast asleep. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this problem or knows what to do..

Just a thought as I haven't experienced this regularly and when my girl had nightmares I'd simply soothe her back to sleep -but you need rest too.
Maybe if it is night terrors you could have something comforting playing overnight -perhaps even a recording of your voice on repeat to soothe during the night. Plausable? If it is gas you could try gentle "running" with her legs to massage the tummy work out the gas before sleep.

it could be gas or they could be having night terrors/ nightmares. my daughter does it as well, and when her father was young he had them. best thing to do is make sure they are ok, dont wake them though, they will freak out, just try to sooth them back to calm sleep.

yes, my baby girl has been crying and screaming in her sleep and she is almost 8 months! i think its just bad dreams, but who am i to say? lol! when we do hear her crying in her sleep we just reassure her that we are there, rub her belly and she goes right back to her deep sleep. :)

My baby screams while she is still asleep too!!! My daughter is 5 months old and she randomly starts screaming bloody murder in the middle of the night and when I check on her, she is fast asleep to the point where she doesn't even want her binky... I was wondering the same thing! LOL! I plan on calling the dr about it tomorrow (Monday)... I have heard from people that babies can have "Night Terrors"... Don't know if this is true, but it sure fits the description... If no one else posts an answer, I'll definitely post what the dr says tomorrow!
