I was just wondering if anyone knew how to get rid of baby acne. If there is away. I have a 2 week old that is getting acne like he was 16 lol!

i dnt think u can get rid ov it my eldest little boy had it n the docs sed it would go away by the time he was 8wks and it did x

Baby acne is hormonal and nothing to worry about. It is also known as milk spots. It will go away when it's ready too.

Don't worry about it. I haven't met a baby yet who has not had baby acne

My daugther had a terrible case of it-we were sent to a dermatologist by our doctor it was so bad. She gave a us a cream that helped. My husband stopped wearing cologne and it completely cleared up! Make sure there is nothing that has any scent to it around the baby and it might help.

Hey Kerri - Read all the suggestions & it WILL clear up on it's own, but I thought I'd also tell you about what cleared my sons face even quicker: We were so careful to be washing his clothes in Dreft, but he was constantly laying on us, our shirts & clothes, and it never occured to me that it was OUR detergent that may be irritating him. I started buying Free & Clear everything (detergent, softener, dryer sheets) and he hasn't broken out since. Hope this helps

Hello, my friend went to a midwife and when her daughter got it the midwfie told her to diluate baking soda in water and wash her face with it, worked with her daughter and with my son it helps restore the ph balance of their skin that all the hormones in the breastmilk affect causing the acne in the first place. It's mild and won't harm your little one at all, it doesn't happen over night takes a few days but definitely helps!

My sons both had it. It goes away on its own. Just do not pop them or pick at it.

Our peditrician told us not to worry about it. My son's acne did go away on it's own.

Congrats....I know it sounds weird but my grandmother told me about an old remedy wipe the baby's face with a pee diaper just on the affected area....I used it on my son & it cleared up by the next day....I thought it was soooooooooooo gross but it worked...I'm 22 and impatient a didn't feel like waiting it out so I tried it... I also noticed later that it seemed to come back but it was eczema & his pediatrician gave him some medicine to help clear that.... but good luck

Baby acne is just a baby's way of getting used to being outside the womb. It occurs while the baby is adjusting to the drop in hormones from being in the womb. It clears up on its own within a few weeks...just keep his skin clean and whatever you do, don't pick at it.
