I'm very early in my pregnancy and this is my first baby, not sure of sex yet but trying to pick names that my fiance and I can agree on. If it's a girl, she will be Trinity Dawn Marie Hoshizaki but we are stuck on boys names. He wanted the boy to be named after either his grandfather or dad (Frank or Vance) I truly hate those names. I was thinking of Vance as a middle name but then comes the problem of finding a first name to go with it. Any ideas? I would really appreciate the help.

My husband and I contemplated names very early on before we knew the sex. I was stuck on girl names (I was totally convinced) come to find out we were expecting a boy. We searched hi and low for the perfect name, we had both seen the name "Kellan" and agreed we both loved it but were not ready to committ. Weeks went by anf we didn't really love anything else and as simple as that......thats his name, the only one we both 100% agreed on. It will just come to you. Picking the name was the hardest part of the pre birth process.

Heath,Rocco,Hunter,Kyle,Chris? Maybe something like Ben,Jayden,David,Leo or maybe even something like Rylin,Axel,Rick,Joey,Max,Jack,Jay etc :)

Good Luck just remember to pick something you like and that you are comfortable with because it is your child after all! Try and find something u both like as hard as that is and also think a bout baby if you give him out there names will he get bullied in school? Will he get picked on? Will he like it?

Best of luck and congratulations.

Hoshizaki is my fiances last name. We arn't even considering a Japanese name. Neither of us like that idea since our baby is only 1/8 Japanese.

Your last name looks Japanese, so how about a name to go along with that? Something like Hiro, Kazuki, Kenji, Shoji, with Vance as a middle name to honor his grandfather.

I personally love the name Caleb. I hope to name my son that someday. But also I really like Allen and Trey. Good luck!

I named my youngest son Canyon. I heard it on a baby show not long after I found out I was pregnant the second time and I loved it!! Just a suggestion!

Skylee,
One of the BEST places we looked (for all of our 4 children) was the Social Security site::::: WAIT!! I know it sounds weird but: You can look at the TOP 100 names from across the country.
We NEVER used anything that was even CLOSE to the "Top 50" names... it worked too! Each one of them has been the only child in their classes with that name. :o)
While many of their classmates have gone by their first names PLUS last intial: Name H.; Name M.; Name R; Name W. (i.e. Taylor H, or Taylor M; Taylor R; Taylor W;)
It sure made it easier for them! Each of them had a unique name.

Basically: the SS site will give you names NOT to use. That too is helpful.
Also: no rush ... God will give you inspiration: When you HEAR or READ the right name: YOUR HEARTS WILL KNOW IT! ♥
Happy Naming !

For me Frank is a name that will have nothing to do with anything that comes out of my body. I'm willing to compromise with the name Vance as a middle name. But NEVER Frank (or any variation of the name).

Carter Vance, Noah Vance, Teagan Vance, Walker Vance, Frank "Carter", Logan Frank, Ashton Frank, Dylan Frank, Frank "Elliot"! Just some thoughts...

I love unusual names, so I named my girls:

Kendall Brynn and Kamdyn Blaire

Frankie is an adorable name, and frankly, no pun intended, its timeless. Im sure your husband would appreciate a compromise. I have two boys and one step son, husbands really do have strong opinions on their sons names.

Thank you every one. :) We have 3 months till we can find out the sex, so we have time still. I just have this strong need to plan everything. .. From what his mother and mine have told me about their symptoms when they were pregnant with boy vs girl, has convinced me that it's a girl too.

I'm 4.5 months pregnant and stuck on boy’s names as well. My husband came up with our 1st son's name whose name is Kazyn (rhythms with raisin) and I feel in love with it immediately. I love unusual but not too wacky names. The only boy name we've come up with so far is Cowen and I'm not 100% sure I like it. I really like the name Kace for a boy but my husband doesn't care for it. We're in the same boat as you! Good luck! :)
