I am keeping all my daughters clothes so if I have anymore girls in the future I have them on hand. But I am also giving clothes that my daughter has outgrown to people who are having girls right now. But I am keeping the ones that I really liked on her when she was younger.

My sister in law had a baby 11 months after I had mine (she also has two older girls), and so she gave me some clothes then I gave them basically back and then some :) I am saving them since I know I will be having more children. After that I will either give them away or sell them once I pick out my favorites to keep.

I have a hard time getting rid of them lol i have a suitcase full of my oldests clothes from when she was a baby. but the things i didnt care for i got rid of or pased down to friends. I keep my favorite things. and if you plan on having more its good to keep them also for the future.
I have a three month old baby girl and she's outgrown all her newborn and 0-3 months outfits. Craigslist for the cheaper outfits & eBay for Chaps, Juicy Couture Baby etc. We don't plan on having another baby for 4 years and if we have a boy, he might be our last, so why hold on to clothes that we may not need or will be out-dated? Our babies must be fashionable! Sister-in-law (giving birth in Oct.) and cousin-in-law (just gave birth) are having/had girls, so I might let them go through everything first.

I write the first letter of our last name of all the tags. Then pass them on to the neighbor. She has a girl older and a girl younger than mine, so we swap back and forth. When we're done we just pass them back again. If I have another girl I will reuse them all. Its nice to be able to have the clothes used thorugh 4 kids.

I dont know where you are but if you have a once upon a child you can take them there, they give you cash for the good ones (buy new clothes that fit!), or craigslist (you can do that wherever you live), give them to friends having a baby, donate them to good will, or make something of them like the quilts that the other moms are doing!

I never was ambitious enough to do this myself but... Ive seemed many friends actually go through all the clothes wash them and fold them and put them in sizemarked boxes. Keep it going for some time- this includes their age approprite toys, keep them clean and include them in the boxes with the clothing. Also the furniture changes as quickly as the clothing so keep this organized in age appropriate, then when time comes offer a yardsale or even try ebay- you may earn a little extra for ebay and opt to pickup product so the buyer must collect it from you. Good Luck

My sisters/friends/etc. save some if we plan on having more or we pass them down or donate them. There are also places you can bring in gently used clothes/baby items and get paid for them as well. I have saved several special outfits to have cut into squares that my friend is going to make a special quilt for my daughter after she turns 1. I think it's a great keepsake. =)

I keep them in garbage bags because if we have another baby, then we still have the clothes (if its another boy, lol). If you knwo you are done having kids, then sell them or give them to friends/family who are going to have little ones.

I save any of her shoes that don't give her blisters too. That way any other kids I have will be able to use blister tested shoes that are comfortably worn in. I try to get her shoes that are for both boys and girls like converse and vans. She looks so cute in them(:
Any shoes that cause blisters are given away or traded in at a used clothing store.

I keep my favorite outfits just in case I have the chance to use them again. If my step daughter needs a new jacket or something I take her outgrown clothes and trade them in. Most of the time I just give them away to people I know. I love the idea of makeing a quilt out of the stained outfits.

After my son outgrew clothes, I packed them away along with blankets and toys. About half of his clothes were second hand (from friends/family or consignment shops) but are still in really good condition. We're expecting again in March so I've got plenty of clothes even if we do end up with a girl! After we're done with kids though, whatever is still in good shape will be donated or given to friends expecting. I really like the idea of saving the ones that have been worn out or stained in places and using them to make quilts! Between the pockets, appliques, and cute prints, a quilt would be adorable!!

I've sold some for consignment/2nd had stores and given some away. Currently I have a 2nd cousin expecting a little one in April, so I will give her what I can (spring and fall seasons should be the same, though not so sure about summer and winter). There are a few saved outfits, including some of her grandmothers that she was able to wear and her other grandma's christening gown that she wore at her dedication.

I gave my daughters clothes to friends who had girls and then when we moved I gave all of them away except for a few outfits! I gave away three large tots of clothes to a friend who needed them. Lets just say she won't have to buy any clothes for almost 2 years!!

Like most mum's i keep the ones with precious memories but most of my circle of mums i see in the real world as well as online, so we pass the clothes that our children have outgrown round its cost effective and you know that its money well spent as they really do get alot more use, then when i found out i was expecting my 9 month old they all came back round with others my friends had bought as a top up, im now pregnant with my 3rd as is my best friend and my sister in law is due too so we can continue to recycle and re-use x

I keep all the ones in good condition, and throw out the rest, the ones with memories as well are a keeper. I've been fortunate to have people around get preggers and i gave it to them. Other friends and fams did the same with me When i got pregant again

keep them for the next one! I have another one due exactly the same time of year as my first, so the clothes should all fit at exactly the right seasons. Hopefully it will be another girl, because it will be a huge money saver! If not, we'll have to buy all new things, but even then we'll save all the things because we will most likely have more down the track. And if not I'll save them for my sisters in case they ever have any girls. We got lots of hand-me-downs from my oldest sister who already has a girl, and isn't having any more. I have one sister who already has two boys, but is thinking about trying for a girl, and two sisters who don't have kids at all yet, so they will probably come in handy for someone when we're done with them. And once no one in the family needs them anymore, there will probably be friends who do. And if not, maybe put some of the good stuff on E-Bay, and the rest donate to a charity or hospital.
And then there is some stuff that I probably won't get rid of at all, because my daughter had a jumper that she wore in winter that was mine at the same age. I think it's nice, and would like for her daughters to have some of her things if they are still good enough.

I've saved everything - thank goodness, because baby # 2's a girl! :) When she's done with them, they'll be going to the consignment store so that we can make a little money on them. The special outfits (coming home outfits, first Christmas, baptism, etc.) will be saved for them.
