My son cries during his rice and veggie/fruit feeding when my husband feeds him. He is nothing but smiles when I feed him. I don't know what's wrong. Has anyone else had issues like this. I thought maybe he was preparing it differently or something so tonight I prepared it and my hubby fed him and there were lots of tears again.

it takes time for the baby to warm up to the dad usually. ours is a huge mommys girl right now. she will let him feed her as long as she gets fed lol but other than that she will play with him but after so long she's ready to come back to me. shes ok when i hold her but when he has her she looks at me and when shes with him sometimes she acts up.

My daughter is the same with her daddy and it hurts him too i think. But she only does it at her dinner meal and last bottle before bed, and she sits there crying looking at me with sad eyes, like please mummy can you feed me? But my husband can feed her any other time of day and she is fine. I think she just likes the comfort with me of a night :)

I had the same problem too till I found out a simple tequnic I seen on supper nanny - I would pre-pare the food or show him how to do it the way I do then when my boyfriend went to go feed our son I would show him first how I do it then ask him to do the same as me. Of course there were a few cries but he soon got out of it once he knew that it was ok if daddy fed him some times and not mommy. Also I find sometimes my son will look to me to see if it's ok for him to be were he is, such as being held by someone else or being fed by daddy and once you give your baby the ok he or she will be fine. But when your husband feeds your baby make sure that you are visiable to your baby and give him or her lots of smiles and cheers when daddy is feeding them that way he'll deffinatly will know that it's ok for daddy to feed them.
Just keep up with it and be patient most of all and the cries will turn into smiles : )

Yea my hubby gets his feelings hurt too. I feel bad for him...he tries sooooo hard!!

my daughter is the same way. She is a mommies girl..yours must be too. She used to cry when daddy woud give her a bottle too then it carried over to her solid food. I just think that babies have such a strong bond with their mothers and they want us almost all of the time...we do things different than daddy and they know the difference...my poor husband sometimes he gets his feelings hurt and i'm like i'm with this child 24 hours a day wouldn't it be bad if she didn't like me or want me..lol totally normal though
