I am 17 weeks pregnant (today actually!) and find out on the 19th what we are having. My husband is in Iraq so it has been hard getting to talk about and deciding a girls name. We have the boys name picked out, Colton but have no idea on a girl. I'm really hoping to have a name picked out before my sono on the 19th so I can start calling the baby by name. Here is the list of my top 4 names.. pick which one you like best...or suggest new ideas. I really want a different name that not many people have.. Thanks Ladies!

Of those I like Haven Leigh. It is different, without being ridiculous. Not that the others are, but Aubryn kind of sounds like you invented it and Avery is more of a boy's name to me. Alannah is nice, but not my style. I also like the name Sheridan, which someone mentioned.

I love the name Bella ...its different. And no I am not a Twilight fan. I found out I am having a boy and wont use the name since I dont plan on having any more.

Avery is a lovely name especially if you like more old-fashioned names. Aubryn is very unique and really cute also. What do you have for middle names? Sometimes thats what it comes down too...Thats how we chose my daughters name...what went best with Elisabeth :D

Oh my gosh, I LOVE Aubryn! I really, really like unique names and I've never heard that anywhere. If my son had been a girl we had the name Aaralyn Grace picked out. But he ended up being a boys so we named him Lacoda Lee :]

Go on 'jamaican baby names' Google it. They are not all jamaican names but there are some lovely different names and then you can find out the meaning of the name. good luck.x

To pick out a name we took our favorites and wrote them down several times pronounced them out loud with the last name and figured it out that way. Some were not as fluid to say as we wanted so we eliminated them! Others gave initials like S.I.S and we didn;t want our son to be teased! I hope this helps you pick out your favorite! Also my son would kick when I would call him Shawn but not as much with the other names...

Personnally, I really like Haven Leigh! Good luck!

I love avery, we debated with our daughter and ended up naming her Danika ( after Danica Patrick) I also like rory when I found out it was a girl

i have two boys.. but i remember hearing the name annelise.. i though it was realy pretty its pronounced anna lese.. im just not sure of the spelling.. i also liked cheyenne, jessica, grace, zoey, ..hope these help! good luck on the rest of your pregnancy

I really like the name Alannah, though I have always seen in spelled without the "h" at the end. If you end up picking that one there is a great young adult book series called "The Song of the Lioness" in which the main character is named Alanna.

Sheridan is what I wanted to name my daughter, but my husband hated it!!!
