my newborn is sleeping very well so far, i put him down at 7pm, dream feed him between 9-10:30pm before i go to sleep, we get up at about 2:30am for a feed and then at 5:30am he wakes up and is wide awake and wont go back to sleep...any suggestions on how i can tweak this little routine so he sleeps a bit later in the mornings?

tina is right, although my 7 week old..... i try to keep her up for a bit after i feed her (the feeding before bedtime feeding) let her sleep for an hour and then i wake her up.... seems to be with me when I wake her up instead of her waking up, she seems to fall back asleep alot faster. My suggestion is to try that, tire them right out, just beware.... overtired = cranky baby, but they WILL fall asleep

nope... all my babies woke up every two hours!! So your very lucky there!! Baby will adjust! I always just brought them to bed with me and we would both fall back to sleep eventually! Look at it as time to spend with your new blessing! Being a mommy can be hard and sometimes it feels like all you do is give give give but it is all worth it!! =)
