I agree with putting the mattress and an incline as well as you can roll up two nursing blankets( recieving clothes) and put them tight against either side of him that why it will feel like the sides of the car seat are still there, my daughter has been in her crib a month and I still put them there for her night sleep!

In addition to swaddling, you may also try elevating his crib mattress by putting a few towels or a thick book, etc. underneath the head of the mattress. Make sure he's not lying completely flat. You can gradually decrease the elevation once he gets used to it, if you prefer.

My daughter was like that for awhile. I strted out putting her carseat in the crib and then i started to swaddle her and i got one of those boppy pillows [not sure if that is actually what its called] and put that aroun her so she still felt like she was in the seat. then about 2 weeks later i took the pillow away and kept her swaddled and it worked for me

My daughter had a similar problem going into her big cot from her bassinette. I just swaddled her and let her cry for 20 mins then went in and clmed her without picking he up then another 20 min then back in etc. after two nights I only had to go in once and after a week she was sleeping like normal agian. hope that helps. good luck.

I had to let my youngest sleep in his car seat for 2-3 months because he projectile vomited a lot and I was afraid of him choking on it. I was able to break him of it my swaddling him and putting him in the crib.. he was able to get used to it very well.. good luck!
