My son just turned 11 months on the 25th and will be 1 in July. He has started walking now. My husband and I want to get him some shoes but do not know how shoe sizes work for his age. I had some shoes in storage that were given to me and when I got them out to use them, they were way too small. I thought they would fit. What is the sizing levels? Thank you!!

they all have different sizes, my first son was size 4.5 when he turned 1 and my other son was 3.5, the best shop to take to get them measured is clarks, it measures length and the the width so u get the right fit my 2 kids have got really wide feet and they dont fit in normal shoes they are a width H, which is really wide,

My son is just barely 1, and is nearly out of his 4s. Whatever you do get, make sure they are soft soled, it helps them learn to walk. I don't know if you have one close by, but our Carter's has them for $10, so you don't have to spend $30 on Robeez or the other major brands.

I would agree with getting them measured even if your not going to get the shoes at that store you can look and they will measure for you.....i used to take my sisters kids to Foot Locker and they would measure there feet and let them try on shoes and the kids enjoyed it......and then they always knew that i would buy them a new pair.....but my son is 7 months and for his pictures he wore a size 3.....

Usually it's around a 4, especially for a boy, but I agree with getting them measured.

my daughter kinda has big feet at a year old. but she will wear a 4 or a 5.

My daughter was wearing size 3 at that age, her (boy) cousin was wearing 4.

i think u need to go into a shoe shop and get them measured properly, it is extremely important to make sure they're the right size and width even at this age!
